Pat was all set for the drop goal from the scrum, and he didn't get another chance after that. Gutted for him.

I think it was just too slow coming out of the Scrum.

They should have played the whole set of 6 up the middle and then gone for it. They might have even scored under the sticks.

TBH I'm quite happy that Faz's record was only equalled by Pat rather than beaten.

Nice for us to have 2 great Wigan players sharing that particular record.

I'm with you on that one. It's always nice to see records broken but i'd rather it stayed with a true Wigan lengend rather than a very good aussi.

Much as it would be a shame to take beat any record by the best player Super League has ever seen, I'm glad he equalled it. Best result in a game where the margin was big enough for missed kicks not to matter too much.

The DG was on from the scrum, but Pat had enough chances himself.

Isn't it better (almost perfect) that he equalled Faz's record. Even more important/impressive were the 2 tries to make him clearly the SL top try scorer.

If it had been a case of breaking another team's player's record (eg Long, Sinfield), I'm sure the ball would have gone to Pat for a "one pointer"

Pat can claim a moral victory for doing it in 27 rounds not 28 anyway

Will Pat get an award for highest try scorer? Like there's the golden boot in football?

On leaving the ground my son said it was a shame Pat didn't get the record and I said, "Look at it this way, it still means Andy Farrell is still in the record books."

If Pat had of got it, it would have been well deserved but its good Faz is still there as well.
