OT think its a wise move putting amos and lockers on the bench - both can be eased in gently if needed.

Strange decision only two props plus Mossop i geuss Tuson and maybe Hansen will have a spell at prop. I like the idea of easing Lockers and Roberts back though for the wire game altho lets hope it doesnt bite us in the @ss as then winning Vs wire would be essentially pointless.

That's a hell of a strong bench.

Good way to ease Lockers and Roberts back in ahead of next week too.

It's a strong bench as far as talent goes in two of SL’s top players and two of its top young talent BUT I don’t think it’s strong from a game perspective.

We’ve got with no recognised prop or hooker on the bench meaning not only will Fielden be forced to play a longer stint than he has to but we’ll also see a Brian Noble type merry go round of player swaps when Piggy leaves the field.

Agree there with no Bailey in the squad.
No Phelps or Feka as well.
MM also prefers Deacs at 6 with Sam T at fb rather than Pat at 1 with Pryce wing and Sam at 6.
Indicates to me, by running with that knowing Deacon will not be playing next year we may have a half back lined up and maybe signed.
Still looks a small pack for when we play Wire next week.

When Piggy goes off, Roberts will come in at fullback, Sam into the halves and Tommy to hooker. Not really too disruptive.

Deacon will also swap from six to seven meaning we will see a change at 1, 6, 7 & 9 and when you factor in that Lockers will probably come on at 13 it’s the spine of the team all changing in two subs.

It’s absolutely crazy when you could have either started Phelps, Pat or Roberts at #1 and had Sam at #6, with Tommy on the bench.

I also can’t see why Davis didn’t get run out? As well as he played recently Tuson doesn’t seem to be a ball carrier and that’s what we need with Coley & O’Carroll out.
