People have been talking about him, half in jest, making Man of Steel.
I'm beginning to wonder if they may have something. Pat's one of the best all-rounders we've had in quite a while. Solid fielder and defender, absolute deadly finisher even from way out, and a clinical goal-kicker. He also has that unerring 'Shaun Edwards' instinct to be in the right place at the right time. His points tally for 2010 is already astonishing, and it's only July.
Apart from his first season, half of which was unimpressive (though at the time he was stuck in a team in freefall), he's been a really, really good buy for Wigan. He and his family have settled well. Everyone seems to like him.
Just the sort of Aussie SL clubs should be attracting.
I'd be chuffed to bits if he got a nomination for MOS.

I can't see any reason why he wouldn't make the shortlist, he's undoubtedly one of the top few (if not the best) wingers in the league. He'd walk into just about any team in the competition I think, thank god he plays for us!

How can you have this attitude. They have been the leading teams so surely they have deserved the MOS awards.
Wigan and Warrington are the top 2 this year, is it any shock that people are saying it will be Richards, Morley, Lockers... etc. ? |

Totally agree with that sentiment. But why the hesitation, i wonder??
For me, Super-Paaaaat has been outstanding for the last 2 seasons.
He makes very, VERY few errors in any game that we play. And for me, one of our best signings EVER - Simple as.
And a bonafide, 100% Wigan legend in the making.
Go ahead, find me a flaw? Go on......Anything! 
Cos i just dont seem to be seeing it.
