Thought he answered a few critics tonight, he knew they'd have a go at him again and he stood up to it very well. Tons of effort in defence and made some decent offloads. Suprising to see that his barnstorming runs weren't the focal part of his game for a change, it seems he has more to offer.

Played well but the question has got to be can he keep it up?

I think he could if he lost some weight but I have my doubts he can do this consistently (edit - I mean if he remains as he is weight wise).

As an aside I'd just love to see him NOT be the dummy runner for once when we are close to the line and actually be given the ball more than once every other game!

Get him fitter and he could be one hell of a player.

As good a game he has ever had in a wigan shirt. His effort was fantastic in his first 22 min spell up to half time.

Not sure about sponsors man of the match but he did spell from 18 to 44 minutes - so a 26 minute spell (plus half time) is more like it.

Phil Clarke made a good point. People cant expect him to do long stints. His average game time for the 5 years he was in the NRL was 27 mins per game!
Bearing that in mind the time we get out of him is a huge improvement

Aye, he definitely still needs to sort his shape out, no athlete should wobble, but at least he's making the effort to up his game, he clearly doesn't want to trigger a spell of poor form ahead of the play offs.

Get him on that show 'the biggest loser'

If he gets in shape he will be a wigan legend.

A player averaging 27 mins shoudn't of bin signed in the 1st place, but if he lost a bit of weight he could be a brill forward, seen effort from him tonight, and he was brought on at a better time.

I think that sums up his potential and where we find oursleves currently with him.

He's good but could be great.

Not sure if I agree with this 'get him fit' idea; he put in some big stints tonight - time wise - and his impact can't be doubted. In the NRL, he actually averaged few minutes per game than he does in the Super League.

What you see is what you get with Feka and he is utilised accordingly, IMO.

We have been in this situation with him since he signed. It is a mystery why his obvious weight problem has not been addressed. It's been said before but look at Inga and how effective he became with the right conditioning.

Very frustrating the club can't get it sorted.

The added weight hasn't taken anything away from his attack but it's making him too slow and sluggish in defence.

He just needs to be fit enough to get back in the defensive line as quick as his teamates and not leave big holes.

It can be done in an off season easily.

He did some running back and tackling tonight like a thing possessed !

His offloads also created a few gaps and tries.

Just watched the game for the 2nd time, and feka played really well in his first spell.

Noticeably after watching it again, Stuart put in a lot of work and played really well to.

He set his benchmark of what he could achive in defence for me in the Good Friday game against Saints at the JJB.

He truely was everywhere in defence that night and ever since then he's fallen below that standard. He maybe made a rod for his own back in my eyes during that game but he should be aiming to reach that defensive level on a regular basis.

If he got in a better physical shape he's stand a better chance of doing so.

played no better than he has done for his entire Wigan career.

He had a bad game last week because he was used badly by the coach knee jerk reaction made him a bad player.

He is a match winner generally and needs retaining.

I was looking for a picture that was on here, many moons ago, when Feka first signed for us, running at a Canterbury player that looked like he was going to soil himself... That epitomised the impact that he can have on the field, sadly I don't think that we are seeing that now, certainly not consistently.

There's a lot of graft to be done to return to that sort of condition imho, although to be fair, much better tonight, last week was highlighted particularly as it was such a big game...

I must admit Feka played well tonight, a couple of good off loads, and catching Anderson when he burst through, (bet Anderson didnt expect to see the head guard hitting him once he broke through). Lets just see if he can keep it up for the rest of the campaign, and put the hard graft in pre season. In and earlier post I put that he was fat & lazy. Tonight he showed that when he wants to he certainly isnt lazy. Tackling a little suspect though.

Thought Fielden did well tonight as well, putting Monaghan on his ass with one run, and some other good runs, as well as his 20+ tackles. But same goes for big Stu he needs to keep it up for the rest of the season.

Seemed to have more game time tonight and coped well with it. even chased anderson down. He also chased back a second time when one of the anderson brothers broke but a couple of other players made the tackle. But the effort was still there. cracking effort. Havent seen any wire fans on here taking the p1ss about him a fat overweight waster this week. after all he is quicker than anderson

Thats the thing isn't it.........he is out of shape bordering on being an every day fatman but that doesn't mean he has to be lazy on the pitch. When he's pushed himself like he did last night or against Saints on Good Friday he can get through enough work to make him more then worthwhile.

He is an outstanding natural talent but he's got to make the most of himself. He like the Freddie Flintoff of rugbyleague. Flintoff needed some home truths from his closest pals to get the best out of him and Feka needs the same.

The difference between last night and last week was that Feka was brought on when we had the ball, and didn't have to defend 14 tackles before he touched the ball.
