I'm away in Maspalomas, Gran Canaria for the league match v Wire on Friday 14th.

Can anyone recommend a decent bar to watch the match in?

Usually whenever I go to the Canary Islands I manage to somehow stumble upon a Wigan Pier bar (think they must be a chain or summat) so anywhere like this would be a bonus!

Hope you have better luck than I did, stayed at Lara beach for a few weeks missed both the leeds & saints match even spent 200 euros on taxis going from bar to bar asking if they had sky sports! Nightmare

Stayed there once and went in to what we thought was a normal bar i.e. Sky Sports/dart board/pool table etc. The Breadknife said she'd like a 7up. The waiter replied 'Oooh, I bet you would.'

Still makes me shudder a bit to this day

We stayed in Maspalomas last year. As I cant stand lying on the beach all day I went for my customery 2-3 hour stroll. Little known to me but I stumbled on the infamous 'Yumbo' centre, what an eye opener that place is...after sussing out what was going on..such as the c*** sucking party in one of the clubs and the fact that men outnumbered the women by around 50-1, and most of them had just dry bummed me with just their eyes I made a quick exit in a taxi...I shat myself

I went there with the missus about 9 years ago. What a god-damn awful place, went for a week and couldn't wait to get home. After a night out we got back to our apartment, our maud said she wanted a mcdonalds (on the front about 1/4 mile away). Walking back from maccies, I noticed a bloke sculking in an alleyway, he then followed me back to the apartment, quickening his step. Well I got to my apartment block, and ran as fast as I could up the stairs (sod the lift - seen too many movies). Got to my room and went to the balcony, saw him lurking around in the bushes...! Lets just say I shouted things that I cant mention on here!!!!!!

Get to the faro 2 in maspolomas, the bar next to broncemar shows all the rugby no matter what channel.

Loads of bars in Playa del Ingles show Sky Sports and as long as they are not showing Premiership Football, which as control over everything else you should have no problem watching the game. But like others have said as well as watching the Rugby, watch your Bum as well!

Going to struggle a bit doing two things at once. Men can't multi-task apparently!

Taking the brother-in-law who doesn't really like rugby so I'll stick him in hotpants as a decoy and crack on with watching the match safe in the knowledge my is safe and sound.
