What's interesting is that he extended his own values (or lack of them) to the Leeds fans, and came out with a shed-load of egg on his face. There's no apparent concept in Latics circles that rivalry in RL does not equate to such bitter hatred that you'd want a Wendyball team to prosper at the expense of one of your fellow RL teams.

Also although Wigan may be a 'rugby town', to kid ourselves that Latics don't get more home fans than us on average is ridiculous. We may not like it but the figures speak for themselves.

It's all relative, check the average in each sport and the story reads very different.
