| What do we think folks?
Personally, if the squad is the same, I'd hope we'll see:
Phelps
Roberts, Goulding, Carmont, Richards
Tomkins, Leuluai
Coley, Riddell, Prescott
Bailey, Hansen
Tomkins
Flanagan, Feka, Mossop, Fielden
Flanagan could slot in at 6 or 9.

I would agree if the squad is the same. If Gleeson is fit though he will be in the 13 - the main question is surely whether Goulding or Flanagan replaces Pryce on the bench.
I'm sure Noble will do the right thing and take Pryce out of the firing line.

Exactly what will happen - simply depends on whether Noble wants to risk throwing Gleeson in at 6. I personally wouldn't.

| Personally I think Noble will play Gleeson on the bench replacing Pryce with him playing a similiar role as Pryce did with him slotting into stand off some way through the match.

| i don't think we should rock the boat too much with the team.
But did flanagan not come from Bradford too ... so throwing him in against them for his 2nd 1st team appearance may be a bit daunting ... although can't do any worse than Pryce.
I'd like to see Phelps given a go at 6 if need be?

| I'd go with the same team as last week minus Pryce, I'd rather have Flannagan on the bench as I feel he'll offer us more, depending on whether Gleeson's fit I might start with Goulding and have Gleeson on the bench but we'll see.
This is must win game, listened to the Bulls game yesterday and to describe them as poor would perhaps be a compliment, if we can get into a lead and build on it the Bulls will crumble, they tend to have a good period in a match so if we can come through that on level terms or better the win's are's. But it'll still be tough so every player must turn up with there heads screwed on properly.

But we'll also crumble if we get a lead, so tails you win heads we lose.
Nothing other than a Wigan win this one if your lads approach it with the right attitude, confidence in the Bradford team and on the terracing is zero at the moment. Hope Im wrong, but I dont think so.

Spot on.
Flanagan must be tried at 6 at some point with sam at 7 as we could have a partnership in the making IMO.

Is he not to slow for 6, or could he just about do it, either way I agree we should at least let the lad have a chance at playing 6 and judge him from there.

We have enough pace in the halves with Sam. He has played in the forwards alot so with a good off season he could be ready to play 6. He could work on his agility.

I wouldn't see him as a long term 6 but he could certainly do a job there. When he's played there in the Reserves he's been creative and organised well. While it is a different world in the first team I believe he could handle the pressure.

But would he be allowed to play his natural game or would the coaching staff tell him to keep it basic?

Your probably right if the club put him on a specific training regime then he may improve his speed and agility but with are conditioning I have my doubts, but that for the other thread. I must admit, although I very rarely get to reserve games his physical shape reminds me very much of Ratchford at Salford, perhaps a little heavier than Stephan but certainly very similar. Either way if the club has the foresight to plan ahead with means to playing Flannagan at 6 in the longterm, then with the right training and coaching I would have thought it would highly achievable.

We need to try him there this season though to see if he does a good job while he can get in the team.

Oh absolutely, I'm just stating that were Flanagan to come into the first team and make a success of it, then we could perhaps turn him into a six. As we all know with the competition in the backrow it's unlikely we could keep them all, but through training Mark into a 6 we possibly could.

| I dont see why we cant do that for a change, we signed him as a half so why is he being turned into another boring second row that we dont need.
Imagine if i about 5 years we had a team of:
Briscoe
Richards
Gleeson(dunno how old he will be then cant be bothered lookin it up)/Thornley
Goulding
Ainscough
Flanagan
Sam T
Prescott
McIlorum
ShÃthouse Prop
