| Heard McIlorum could be out for 6-8 weeks and Lockers still being assessed but doesnt look too serious.

According to someone on Mike's forum MM has done his medial ligaments. Seriously bad blow for us if true as would be any absence of Lockers.
Gutted for MM as he has really found some form of late.

| Bad news if true on McIlorum. He's on career best form recently and with Smith out we really could do without this.
Maybe Riddell can do the full 80

| If MM is out who is the next guy to step up from the reserves?
Could it be another Tomkins brother or i know Flannagan played 9 against Leigh in the pre season?

| If MM is out I'd expect Gleeson or Pryce or O'Loughlin at 6 and Sam at 7 tbh.

I could see Noble going with K Pryce on the bench when Gleeson is back and doing a little re-jig when Riddell is ready to go off with Gleeson moving to 6, Pryce into the centres, Sam to 7 and Leuluai to 9.
I'd probably be most tempted to throw Flanagan onto the bench and let him have a shot at 9 though instead of shifting the whole side around.

| Initially would like to see Phelps as 6, Roberts at 1, Ainscough on the Wing with Riddell and TL sharing the hooking role.

| At least there are a few different combos we can try out which is always a good situation to have if one doesn’t work out.
I just really hope that it’s a youngster or Pryce who gets an extended run of games in the team and who ever gets what this massive opp they really grab it and make the most of it.
I’d be inclined to get Flanagan in there and cause as little disruption to the make up of the squad as possible. Can’t see the point in moving about three or four players around when one could just come in.

| I think we can afford to give Pryce another game next week against Catalans because he needs a run to help his fitness.
If Gleeson is ok i like the looks of him going into 6 with Leuluai at 9. The one thing i wouldn't want to do is have it so that after 20 minutes Riddell goes off and about 4 or 5 players have to change positions to cover for it.

Is Gleeson any good as a 6? I agree about not wanting musical chairs when Riddell goes off. One of the worst parts of our early season games was watching this happen. It was very disruptive.
Phelps at 6 maybe? He has the pace to trouble teams but I still have this doubt about him that he plays the game in a bit of a headless chicken mode and tries to over-egg things.

I think Gleeson playing at 6 would obvioulsy get him some more ball and give us all a chance to see what he can do. He's played 6 a few times and done ok from what i can remember. He had a very good game at for England in the world cup against the Kiwis in the dead rubber pool game scoring a fine try.
Phelps is another option but i'd like to see him continue at fullback. He's doing well there and looks to get better with each game in the position so i'd be loated to move him.
Maybe Flanagan at 6, Sam at 7 and Leuluai at 9?
Like people have said we've got options so thats great.

If Lockers is going to be out for a while then that it really bad news. He's been showing MoS form this season and until he came off last night was easily the best player on the pitch. I'm praying this is wrong.

It was a compound fracture and he was whisked off to the Infirmary. Wigan were absolutely mortified but these things can and do happen.
Will find out more in a bit.

Huge blow for us. Absolute massive.
Worst case now we're without O'loughlin Hansen and McIlorum.
Riddell and Leuluai to share the hooking role.
Cameron Phelps to six - Richards to fullback and Ainscough on the wing.
Joel Tomkins to loose forward.
Recall Lee Mossop.
Gutted for O'loughlin because he has been showing the best form of his career.

| Assuming Hansen & O'Loughlin are both out, I think it's the time to give Flanagan & Farrell their chance at an extended spell in the first team, i'd leave Mossop at Huddersfield for now, as he's doing well for them under Nathan Brown, and it means all 3 can show what they've got so we can see what the pecking order should be between them for next season.

Leave Gleese at centre wheres he still world class - hes not a 6, you will be seriously comprised in the middle with Gleese there. Hes very very average there. If he couldnt do anything behind our pack at 6 at the start of the year when we played him there he wont do owt behind yours.
edit - sorry to hear about MM as well. Was going great guns and good to see a young British star in the making

All big blows, were certainly going to have to do some reshuffling a big test of are squad I feel, but we should win the next two even with those missing.
