I know i've posted this on another thread, but I wanted to see what the replies would be...

Tell me why, all you people who say 'I won't be going to Hull KR this weekend...' are still going to the Warrington game? Is it just because it's a semi final? I mean, as far as i'm concerned, if your a fan who goes to every away game, and is loyal to the club etc. then why give up on going to this Sundays game yet not on the semi? If your not willing to support the club in a league match then why go to the Wire game? Or are you someone who just supports Wigan when there's a possible final?

Don't get me wrong, I don't blame anyone... The performance against Celtic was disgusting, no pride in the shirt, and if the team can't be bothered to turn up then why should the fans... All i'm asking is why they are willing to give up their support for a league game against KR yet still go the Semi against Warrington? Doesn't make sense that's all

Some people will have bought their tickets before the Celtic Crusaders match was played.

that's not what i was getting at so stop trying to be an ar$e, a lot of the people go following wigan on here regardless of the price... And let's be honest, there's not much difference in expenses.

Don't forget the 3 hour travel time to Hull compared to 30 minutes to get to Widnes.

Again, people giving an ar$ey answer because they can't give a sensible one... price and time travel etc. has never stopped fans going to catalans, harlequins etc. before, it's nothing to do with that... read what i've put.

The truth is Hull is a trek, most pie fans think they'll get beat and don't want to waste their money or their day.

Widnes is a semi, is 20 minutes down the road and is a more winnable game given its neutral venue

No, Iv been to the majority of away games this year, but like Hogan said in a previous thread, you start to wonder whether paying all that money to travel to Hull, to see a team with no commitment or desire play is really worth it?

I'm not having a go mate, but I just can't understand why you'd go to Hull but not Widnes. It's going to be the same set of lads half-dly taking up five drives then kicking.

If we win the semi I bet they find the time/money to go to Wembley.

I read that someone was even considering celtic to be their last ever wigan game... I mean, come on, that's a bit extreme innit?

People don't understand, Wigan aren't what they where... Simple as that... and don't give me that 'Hull's a treck' because the same people travel to catalans and harlequins.

I don't think there's an argument here, Hull is probably going to be the first match i'm gonna miss this season, why? because i'm not the richest man in the world at the moment and i'm looking at about £80 for the day, its on the tele, if money weren't an object then yea i'd be going, but at the minute its like a gamble, all that travelling and money and there's a good chance we'll get beat-which doesn't bother me at all its just how we get beat- hopefully i'm wrong though and i miss a cracking game.

Hull KR game

- £40 tickets
- £30 roughly petrol
- £20 food/ drinks etc
- £80 lost for not working a sunday shift

Total = £170

Warrington game

- £36 tickets
- £10 petrol and parking
- £8 food/drinks with it being nearer
- £0 for not working as I dont work saturdays and it is normal time unlike sundays.

Total = £54

The Hull KR game is possibly too much money down the drain to watch a potential half d performance. If it was'nt on sky there would be no debate as we would go for sure. But risk £170 for a game we can watch for nowt

I'm not going to Hull KR because of a few reasons but probably the main one was that i got laid off work a few weeks back and i'm abit skint. If the team were putting in the effort i'd like them to put in each week regardless of results i'd find the cash and i'd go but i'd rather not take the risk at the moment. It doesn't help that Hull KR charge 20 quid aswell to sit in a makeshift stand behind the posts which seems a rip off.

As for the semi final of course i'll be there but then i'll be at every other home game before then and more then likely every away game aswell so i'm sure i have a right.

This weekend is the first game in 15 years i've 'choose' to miss.

I can't afford to go to Hull KR but I shall be going to Widnes for the semi.

I will also be on holiday for the CC Final so will miss it regardless of whether we get there or not so the final offers no incentive to me whatsoever.

I think most on this board are likely to be the fans who go to the home games and travel to most away games, the floating fans wouldn't commit enough time and effort in following the club if they only went to the 'big' games.
