Quote ="NickyKiss"We had a cracking little plan going at the back end of last year were Hock and Feka would start on the bench and come on and cause huge damage to opposition defences.'"
I said that in the very first game of this season when Noble started with Hock and Feka against Wakey. I think he brought Hansen and Coley on that day instead which was a major shift from the tactics which proved so successful for us at the end of last season?
Quote For some reason we've moved away from that this year with Hock starting the games and unfortunatly Feka hasn't been producing lately.'"
One of the main reasons for it could be the loss of both Trent and Higham possibly?
Higham was and still is a one trick pony who can only scoot imo BUT with us getting Smith towards the end of the season it meant Higham didn't have to fill a creative role in the side. It's no coincidence his best performances for us came when he was just left to scoot and make quick yards whilst Smith and Trent controlled the game and the way it panned out. Higham or Tommy off the bench with Hock and Feka meant we had the fire power to change games (see Bradford in the playoffs to confirm this).
We've not got that this season and Hock now needs to start as he's one of out few danger men.
Quote Joel Tomkins, Riddell, Prescott etc aren't adding much from the bench tbh aswell but all 3 i'd say are more suited to starting the games.'"
Joel has been disappointing this season and I know Lockers has been outstanding but I still think Joel should have started 13 for us at the start of the season. Lets face it after being out top forward try scorer and runner up in the young player of the season award he deserved a shot.
