I think he knows that. I still hope he can kick us on to the next level, it looks unlikely currently, but you can tell how much he wants to do well with this club.

I want at least another 4-6 week worth of consistant form before we even think of offering him a new deal.

The one thing he's never brought to this club(bar the back end of the season he took over in) is consistant preformences over the course of a season and thats what you have to put in to get in that top 2.

If he gets us playing consistant rugby for the next couple of months that will be 3 months worth and his longest run in any of his full seasons here.............thats what 'has' to happen for him to get a new deal imo.

Sod off Noble - he wants a new contract on the back of one win vs Saints - wait till the end of the season and if nob quits i think we'll get over it.

at the end of the day, he has no choice but to wait indefinately. There are no other jobs available anywhere in the world of top level RL at the moment, so he doesnt have many cards to play.

If nobby gets offered another job, take it, he is out of contract, it works both ways.

He is in no position to start moaning about the time it is taking, were we not in the position we are in the table then fair play but at the moment the club hold all the cards and he needs to realise this and prove he is worth a contract over the next 2 months starting tonight.

He says all that if all the fans really want him to stay, i'd be reet if you went now then if you cant wait nobby...bye!

Perhaps if we were second or third in the table then he wouldn't have to wait. Having said that, does this mean that the players IL might get from Oz have been picked by him and not Noble? Hmm. Not sure i want the chairman in charge of player recruitment...

Lets be honest if the Chairman comes back with a top Prop and a top half which he should i do not think whoever is coach next year will complain. Nor is it rocket science to identify the top targets.

In reflection, you'd have thought that Noble would have more sense than to make a public statement like that, when there was the potential for tonight's debacle to occur.

It really makes you wonder if Noble ever thinks further ahead than his next pay packet.

if noble goes then i dont think it will be a massive blow to us.

TBH i am past caring what Noble does I just want a team I can be proud of instead of this Sh! te that keeps getting dished out in front of us every week. Its getting harder and harder to smile every week when you know come the weekend we are going to be e again. With the same old excuses coming from the club players and coaching staff.

That's just cheered me up after deciding to edge further off the ''Brian Noble is the man for Wigan'' fence.

My opinion that he needs to string together 2-3 months worth of consistant preformences to even get close to a deal stands only after tonight the time period has re-started.

I thought we went pretty well last week but we were cluless tonight and look back to square one.

Times ticking Brian, don't hold your breath for a new deal anytime soon if Lenagan has anything about him.
