| As far as i am aware SKY have only moved ONE game that has originally been scheduled and moved there entire equipment including eddie and stevo bill arthur etc to another venue that happend in 2001 when skt were at bradford to show the opening game with saints and it SNOWED! so they took the ENTIRE CREW in less than 4 hours to Wigan to show the game v warrington the game that hd about 4 or 5 punch ups i wonder if they would everdo that again

| Well it may well happen again. I do know that the postponed Celtic v Wakefield which was due to be shown by Sky now isn't being done so they've a spare match to pick up towards the back end of the season.
Was some cracking fights in that Warrington game. Toa Koa-Love was sent off after 2 high tackles on Steve Renouf then a barney ensued late in the minute after Tawera Nikau swung a punch at Dave Furner during a tackle. Furner didn't see he had done it so started looking for retaliation against an innocent player. I recall Andy Farrell taunting and gestering towards Nikau after the ensuing brawl was broken up. Nikau was then sent off reducing Warrington to 11.

| Brilliant bit of biff in that game...
I remember not being able to wait to get home so i could watch it back on T.V.
Eddie and Stevo moaned about it calling it a disgraceful advert...But everyone else loved it..

| It was a great game. I remember Matty Johns ruffling Nikau's mullet everytime he tackled him. You could tell from Nikau's body language that it was going to kick off. Farrell was squirting him with a water bottle at one point

Correct myself - this is Live and clashing towards the end of the BBC televised cup tie sadly.

| IIRC, Renouf uncharacteristically just flipped after the third or fourth high tackle by Koa-Love and windmilled towards him...Came off best too.

I seem to remember they were going to show a Wigan v Warrington match years ago, probably '96 or something, but (I assume) because the result was expected to be a foregone conclusion (Wire were very bad then) decided to show another match. They made the decision several days in advance though. It turned out the match they showed was dire, and Warrington went on to beat us
I remember because I was living in Cardiff at the time and looking forward to us being on TV.

Wigan / Warrington matches used to be magnificent, particularly when they had people like Boyd and Cullen playing for them. You could always rely on Boyd to start something. Even to this day I love Warrington matches, possibly even more than St Helens matches.
Two incidents stick in my mind; Steve Hampson returning a kick and running at Boyd who tried to take a swing at Hampson, only Hampson saw it coming and put his hand out. Boyd's punch deflected of Hampson's arm, and he ended up chinning himself.
The other was where Andy Goodway flattened Paul Cullen and got sent to the sin bin. Goodway was on his way there whilst Cullen was flat out and receiving treatment, however he suddenly bounced up and legged it towards Goodway, starting a mass brawl in the process. Cullen was sent off. It was full of biff, sin binnings, sending offs, everything, and match finished 11 a side.

I have that match on DVD somewhere. Goodway stood on Cullen's hand as he walked off instantly curing Cullen of all his injuries.
Kevin Iro was kicking goals for us on that day with a great big bushy beard.
Boyd is interviewed after the game and he sounds like a camp Elmer Fud

Riddell involved in a couple on that one aswell. We could do with him finding that nasty streak over here.
Fielden landed a beauty on Smith and thats the sort of thing we could do with happening again. He's lost abit of that aura and it's something that could easily be re-found if he was to leather somebody.
