It's been a massive turn around over the last few weeks and if he carries on playing like this, I can see him being picked for England.

His confidence is very high and the moment and hope it continues.

its amazing his transformation since salford away, he has been our best prop since then and it is good to see. he seems to be taking alot more ball up and has been very good in defence.

He does seem to be running wider though which is how he was so good at salford. coley is leading from the front at the minute and the rest of the pack are beginning to follow in his stide!

is he playing his way into a new contract?

He still needs to cut the errors out of his game.

As soon as he cut out the stupid sideways running he improved ten-fold IMO.

Looks to be paying with some aggression and no fear of taking on the line.

Definitely one of our top performers at the moment. Let's hope it continues.

Our forwards are playing well at the minute. I though Fielden did ok in both the Saints game and the Wakey game, Coley is playing well and Feka made good yards yesterday when he came on. Prescot is also looking good.

One thing that I think our pack does to often is drops the ball. If they can cut out that then we will go ok for the rest of the season.

I don't think he'll ever cut those out for some reason. He manages to have emmense games confounded by the biggest most infuriating brain farts. But then again what player doesn't?

I think the performances from Coley have been top draw over the last month or so, personally think he is the form Prop in the League. Commented on another thread that we could well be in the Higham and Calderwood position of releasing an International standard performer.

He must maintain this for for the rest fo the season to justify a new deal, but at the moment he really is showing his ability, shame it only surfaces towards the end of his deal.

I posted last week that we seriously have to look at a new contract for Coley. He's playing top rugby at the minute and to lose a prop forward on great form is something i'd be loathed to do. I wouldn't offer anything more then a one year deal with maybe a years option though as he quite obviously needs to be kept on his toes.

Another player i was really impressed with at the weekend was Bailey. I noticed that whilst on the pitch our defence down the right looked solid and Smith wasn't being exposed at all and then he went off after 30-35mins and before and after half time until he came back on Drew, Atkins and Winterstein were having a field day and running us ragged.

Maybe next year will be the first year in a while where we only bring in a maximum of 1 player and keep the squad together.

Didn't he only join us last year? Sometimes it takes a season for players to settle in. If he continues like this he should get a new deal. It isn't like he's been here for 4 years and has only just picked up in form like orr.

or you could argue he's doing a Mickey Higham

Could be worth keeping on a one year contract. As mentioned earlier it could be worth only bringing in one player (a prop)

I think he has.
On Saturday I remember errors by Fielden (lost ball), Hock (didn't play ball), McIlorum ( forward passes not noticed by ref) and Feka (silly offloads) but I don't remember Coley or Tomkins or Prescott making any.

He's been our best prop by far over the past month or so. Runs the ball in hard, he's started making a few half breaks, always looking for the offload and he's been putting in some big shots in defence. Didn't see this kind of form coming at all!!

This season ive been really disappointed with Feka, he's over weight by atleast 2 stone, loks very unfit and isnt even making many yards anymore. Not to mention him being a liability in defence.

A player that is rather undearated i feel is Prescott. Hes playing well at the moment and deserves his place in the side. He has a very good future ahead of him.

He made a few (still had a very good game though...)

It may not seem it but i'm pretty sure he's made the most metres of any of our forwards.

All our props have been playing well recently though and will need to if we're gonna win on friday

Your probably right going off the stats. I dont know what it is, he just doesnt deem to be as effective as he was last season. Maybe its because he hasn't made one of his trademark breaks for a while.

Is playing outstandingly well, really becoming a pack leader.

Whether or not he should get a new contract or has merely stepped up his game to be awarded one is a different issue.

But currently deserves all the plaudits he is getting.

Been great recently has big Andy, taken pressure off the likes of Prescott and Fielden and they too have been playing better
