| Don't get me wrong it was an absolute brill weekend, couldn't have gone better. But despite our record at Murrayfield, i think i much prefer Cardiff.
Main reason is because it felt like the bars and clubs weren't very well prepared as to what to expect. Cardiff we were singing and dancing outside in the streets, where as Edinburgh, had to stay in the bar area and most places, or all places weren't allowed any singing or good banter. I just kinda got a bit of an unwelcome feel to city centre.
Maybe because they're just so used to football fans or something that they think hooligans or something along those lines.
Also as well, its a 15 min walk to ground(wasting valuable drinking time), whereas Cardiff is a 15 second walk.

| Cardiff is better for the event with the Celtic team down there and just the general set up, you can fall out of a pub and be outside the stadium, its a better stadium, better atmosphere. The only way this weekend is gonna be succesful is by keeping in the same place, like keeping the grand final at old trafford, it did not sell out for like 4-5 years. I also think there should be a cheaper arrangement made to get fans down to the events. Its abit of a let down when teams are taking less than 1000 fans, it spoils the atmosphere.
Any talk of taking it to Newcastle is daft, it is daft enough taking it to scotland where they are union mad, but in newcastle they all love football, whats the point.

| I did not manage to go to Murrayfield this year but if its anything like the past 2 season at Millenium Magic then it must of been another success.
Me and my family stayed at a caravan park called Trecco Bay down in Wales and soon as we landed the site was flooded with Warrington, KR, Leeds fans etc and it really did make a good atmosphere once we got to local bar/club. It was great we got together with some other Wigan fans and had a good chat and then the banter started we started to sing to the saints fans and it wasnt much longer till the Kr lads got involved singing If You All Hate Saints to the saints fans. Them two weekends we had down in Wales have to be one of the best I have had as a Rugby League fan to see so many different fans mingling together in a pub singing there songs was fantastic I remember talking to some FC fans and they said Could you imagine if this was football there would be chairs and glasses flying everywhere. Thats why our sport is so great there was not one bit of trouble in both of them days in that pub and you could just sit back having a good chat with other fans talking and singing about the greatest sport on this planet.
Long may the Magic Weekend continue!.

| Pretty much same views as the OP.
Although we made the most of Edinburgh it was a pain the ar*e at times.
Whether it be not being allowed to drink outside the pubs (on a sunny day!), not being allowed to sing or not being able to get into pubs/clubs at night for one stupid reason or another. Basically the bar staff/bouncers and police were a bunch of killjoys.
I actually walked past a pub where a large group were being told to go inside the pub (they were only singing and having a good time) and the group actually started singing "let's go back to cardiff" which summed up the views of many frustrated drinkers i spoke to.
Also the ground in cardiff isn't 70 million miles away from the pubs.
I'd love it to be re-located to Cardiff or somewhere else or just scrapped completely just to stick two fingers up to the Scottish misery guts.

| The bar staff inside the ground were absolute retards.
Me - "Hiya, can I have 2 pints of lager and 2 halfs with lime please".
Barman - "Eeeerrrm, sorry we don't do lime"
Me - " Ok 2 halfs with black".
Barman - "Black?"
Me - "Blackcurrant".
B - "We don't do blackcurrant".
Me - Getting miffed - "Ok just make it 2 pints and 2 halfs".
B - "We don't do halfs".
Me - "ARRRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!, just give us a bottle of coke".
B - Takes the top off and gives it to me.
Me - "Can you put the top on please she doesnt want to down it".
B- "Sorry we have to, £9 please".
Another time I wanted 4 pints and a bottle of coke and the woman wouldn't serve me 5 drinks, I said your taking the mick? I had to get a woman next to me to buy it for me and the barwoman looked the other way ha ha ha pathetic!
