When playing at Murrayfield.....i expect that to continue this weekend against a very average and overated St Helens team.

I shall be turning out to the game in our 100% murrayfield record shirt, to continue our great form at Scotlands rugby national stadium.

That was a great day . . . until kick off.

Looooooong train journey home that evening!

What a great day that was, I have never felt as sick and ill at a rugby match, made worse as we couldn't see the clock from where we were sat.

When the whistle went I didn't know if I was going to faint, be sick, wet myself or all 3. Fortunately, I just cheered until I lost my voice

Best day out at a sporting event I've ever had - despite getting on the coach at the JJB to be told we were going via YORK!!! Now that really was a pain in the proverbial! Don't even think we picked up a Wigan fan either - remember Stains and Hudds, I think. Got to the ground just after 2pm for a 2.45pm KO - cutting it fine or what!

Journey back was so much better though, the only time it's been nice to have some Stains fans on a coach with me! Got back to JJB around 1am, home for 2am, up that morning and flew from Manchester to Jamaica for 2 weeks - Wigan top and all!!!

Let's see if we can do it on Sat now - fingers crossed!!!

That day was bloody brilliant. After we'd won I remember going over to where the dugout was to see Faz, with Raper and all the lads.

Brilliant day, best coach journey home ever, then up town and out again first thing Sunday to walkabout and round the corner for the home coming. Those were the days

Might try to dig out that top but have a feeling it won't fit and will look like its sprayed on!!!.

I always remember sitting there without a view of a clock and thinking there was around 6 or 7 minutes left.........that second the hooter went and i still thought it was a mistake.

What a great day that was. A preformence from Rads that none of us will ever forget, Lammy running the show, Bibey pushing Joynts face in the turf(best thing he's ever done) and Farrell screaming 'you beauty'.

Those were the days.

Best day ever no-one even gave us a chance, those last ten minutes were the longest 10 minutes of my life! Oh for the days of Farrell, Lam, Rads, Connolly etc

What a day. I was living in a 2nd floor flat at the time and was so emotionally drained (and copiously refreshed) that when our Maude heard a feeble rapping on the flat door she opened it thinking no-one was there. Looked down I'd made it up the stairs on my knees, clutching a giant unopened kebab from Wesleys!

Our coach journey home was superb. We were on a bus driven by some brummie but when we overtook a st's coach it was such a laugh he got into the spirit of things, slowed down to let them past and then re-overtook it about 4 times.

WORST DAY EVER!

Was that the year they had to play at Wakefield just after and a lot of the squad shaved their heads before that game

Yeah that was it.

Newton looked like he'd just come off death row for the game

I remember running up and down the steps to check the big screen.

I remember the moment when it sunk in that we had won. Everybody doing rolly-ploys on the grass outside the stadium. Fantastic.

That was it Phil, it was on the Wednesday after the Murrayfield final, and they won.

God knows how, half of them were still p*ss*d.

Like rats deserting a sinking ship our fans for that day.

I couldn't believe the doom and gloom amoungst the part timers around the town that week.

It seemed that only the hardcore bothered to turn up which in a way made it more special.

Erm, the thread is about Murrayfield and our game happens to be the last game played there.

I was on my brothers Stag weekend at Butlins so couldn't go in 2002. I remember we got in a pub at 11 o clock and watched Liverpool get beat by Spurs, Wigan Snotter Stains and then Man U beat Liecester City. I had £10 on dallas for 1st try and Radders for Lance Todd. I got nearly£300 back and was totally wrecked at the end of it. Great weekend but I'd have given it all up to have been there! Come on Wigan, Its our turn to win one of these bloody derby games!

By the way, I seem to remember a certain Martin Gleeson scored for stains that day. Hope he pays the turds back on Sat!

It was Widnes iirc, we just sang "we won the cup" all the way through that game

And some of the music lol, on the way there it was cloudy and the sun came out just as we were dricing into Edinburgh, and "Beautiful Day" came on he radio.

And the homecoming the following day - seeing them all on the balcony dancing to "The boys are back in town".
