Well spotted Rogues. The 8 did a full training session with the U18's amatuer GB team this morning and still dominated in the pack.
I said it was Thornley at the game. Its another Thornley whos a 6 in the U21's am i right?? |

No.
Andrew Thornley has gone on loan to Salford.
Ian is normally at centre for the U21's.

Cumbrians are certainly the most physically and mentally perfect specimins for rugby league in this country. The kids are beasts and very tough glad to see we are looking to that area for our next generation of player.

Its good to see the Reserves only conceding just over 11 points a game and the Academy only conceding 15 points a game. That's excellent defence.

In the 2nd half today Wakefield has some sustained pressure on our line, but the academy lads did a very good job of stopping them getting at least a couple more scores.
Both the reserves and the academy play with a spirit and togetherness that is lacking at times in the first team. |

I said the same thing after seeing a Cumbrian team tour Australia last year, they were all powerfully built athletes and had a successful tour.
The centre Karl Olstrum was at Bradford Bulls last year and could prove a good pickup for Wigan. |
