What in you oppinions has been in his debut tonight. I thought he has an average game as saints didnt have trouble tackling him but he showed on or two glimpses of what he can be like

Average game but he'll come good.

He never really got much ball tonight from either Hansen or Bailey so couldn;t really judge him.

Had a good debut, did nothing wrong and looked fairly dangerous, will be beltin when he gets proper settled in.

Didn't get the ball enough to show his quality

He showed in 2 runs that he'll be a dangerous player for us.

Against poorer sides then Saints when he's settled in he'll go very nicely.

dangerous player he is but needs a winger to bond with, he can't keep throwing balls into touch if the winger doesn't now when its coming, time will tell

Seriously was never given time to show his real talent. Great signing for you lads but on the day came up against that Potter like defensive attitude. Will have a field day against lesser teams.

You say that but our defence of the right hand side was a lot stronger than before. Seemed to me like a lot of our ball in space went left a lot more than right.

Put it this way, I'm glad he made his debut against us tonight. Posed no threat at all. Was class at Saints, not so good at Dire who knows though he may cme good once he gets a bit of understanding with those round him.

People on here need to ask a few questions.

How many training sessions has he had with his new team mates? 1?

How long has he had to learn training methods?

He has been at the club officially 2 days. Give him 2 months at least.

Once he has trained with the team some more it will help.

We by instinct went to Carmont's side almost everytime.

Which is something we may have to go away from for a game or 2 looking at him hobbling around near the end.

The thing is with Wigan, you lot big up every knew signing that you make. Many where calling the Riddell signing excellent etc.... the list goes on.

However they all dissapoint. Your best players tonight where your local lads by some distance.

I was happy with the debut. He showed some very good touches despite not getting that much service, particulary in the second half which I see as good news.

Once has gets a few training sessions in we'll be able to work on some combinations. I also thought Amos Roberts had a good first half too but again, was let down with not enough service in the second half.

If Gleeson was really that good do you think Tony Smith would have let him go so easily? And remember TS is still the England coach.

Sadly i worry that we do not have the players to be able to pass to the right hand side to give him a bit of ball.

It is a major concern that he will not get any supply for me. Think he needs time to gell with Roberts but IF we can get the ball to him then the right side may well generate an attacking threat.

It wouldn't trust Tony Smith to make me a cup of tea going off how we went in the world cup let along making judgements on players abilities.
