Which reserve players (if any) are proving themselves capable of a first team game? I don't follow the reserve games personally, although I know there's a few first team players in there at the moment...?

Mark Flanagan and Lee Mossop are two who I think could do a decent job for us.

There are others like Liam Farrell and Josh Vievers who I think this time next year will have played a game or two or be very near.

i dont think josh vievers is good enough safe under the high ball but never gonna set the world alight

Think we are going to bring 2/3 youngsters a year through

This year is Sam and Ainscough

Next will probably be Mossop and who knows? maybe Vievers

Year after could be Logan and Thornley?

Ben Davies, Lee Mossop and Liam Farrell are three stand outs for me.

Another player in the reserves who I would have liked to have watched this season is Sam Gee, but it's unfortunate that he injured his arm/wrist a few weeks ago.

What's the deal re Flanagan? IMO he should be pushing hard now if he's ever going to make it.

Always looked good to me in the game I've seen him play. Doutb whether he will break into our backrow though however at the risk of being slated if I was coach he'd be pushing Hansen hard.

They're the 3 lads i'm really looking forward to watching progress in the near future. If possible and without leaving oursleves open to a shock defeat i'd like to see a couple of them given a go at Barrow.

I think he's a decent utility player, but it's only a matter of time before he leaves Wigan IMO.

He isn't good enough to play stand off at the top level and he is behind Sean O'Loughlin, Joel Tomkins, Gareth Hock, Harrison Hansen, Phil Bailey, Lee Mossop and Liam Farrell when it comes to the back three.

A sensible option for him would be to return to Halifax on a permanent basis.

I really think Flanagan would do a good job in the first team. It's just very unfortunate for him that we have such an array of talent in the back row already ahead of him. I think he is a very talented player. He had a cracking game on Friday against Salford IMO.

Flanagan could do worse then signing for somebody like Salford.

They muct be on the hunt for players and with their 3 year licenece why not take a punt on good young players.

I'd like to see us go down the Saints style road of loaning them out for full year stints with a view to bringing them back as and when needed ala Moore and Smith.

At the moment, Flanagan playing in the reserves isn't doing anybody any favours.

Unless there's more than a couple of injuries in the back row, it's unrealistic that he'll feature in a first team game at all this season and he'll learn little playing reserve grade for a year.

A season long loan at a high table NLC/injury-hit Super League club will do him a world of good.

Yeah. Didn't seem to do too bad at Halifax last season - 6 tries in 9 matches.

Everyones a winner with something like that.

Clubs need to get their heads together imo to try and get as many young Brits as possible playing in first teams.

Salford/Celtic/Wire etc could all do with some good young players and will offer a good opportunity to these players to further their careers. The chances are with the likes of Flanagan they'd get to keep him permenent.

We've already started the ball rolling with Andy Thornley to Salford who I believe is on a season long loan.

I'm sure there will be a couple going on loan within the next few weeks.
