| I quite enjoyed the game last night. I went through all the emotions of despair, excitement, anger, enjoyment, incredulity, satisfaction and dissatisfaction.
2 weeks ago at the Wakefield game, I was bored to tears...a bit like watching football but last nights game was enjoyable.
The best part was obviously Ainscough's performance. It's good that the fans and player proved the coach wrong. I enjoyed Tompkins spotting the gap on the blindside to score. I enjoyed the fact that we scored from a scrum. I enjoyed Feka's charges.
And I enjoyed the conversations before the game, during the game and at half-time.
I don't like us losing but seeing talent like Ainscough gives me hope for the future.

Agreed mate. I have a friend over from Australia and he enjoyed the experience (apart from the loss).
P.S. the frightening thing is that after watching us only once he could see our problem was holding back in defence. Why does Noble persist with this tactic????

| if we had a goal kicker we would have won cos that last try would not have bin scored and the LOYAL fans that walk off would have stayed.

I feel exactly the same. Don't feel as depressed as after the Wakey game. Ainscoughs performance especially instills a bit of hope.

Most people with any sense would've still left the clapping seals to it. Being within 30 points of the likes of cas is a slap in the face to any wigan fans

Yes and we were good to watch at times when we chanced our arm and then we got within 2 points and stopped doing it.

How did he and the fans prove Noble wrong? did Noble not pick him to play? What a very silly comment. Noble has done the right thing, hes given him his chance when injurys have depleted the team and it seems hes taken it. I would expect him to play next week but dont expect him to be in the team every week from now on. Hes only young and will more than likely suffer a dip in form and make some bad mistakes at some point. John Monie always gave youth a chance and he was always on about how young players have a few good games before suffering a dip in form and you have to put them back into the reserves. I expect Ainscough will be no different.

I would say pretty much the same mate.
When we were on our fightback and I thought we would go on and win I thought "why do they have to do this to us" but then it all went wrong again.
A decent dramatic game, but just a shame it was despair at the end rather than joy.

This is a good thing, it is the final stage of the grieving process, you have gone through the
Denial (we are still the greatest team etc)
Anger (you're not fit to wear the shirt)
Bargaining (if we lose again next week, I am never going again)
Depression (Monday morning as a Wiganer)
Now you have reached
Acceptance (the realisation that Wigan as a force in Rugby is pretty well finished)
Once you have gone through the process, you can move on. Maybe you could become a Latics Supporter?
