However you will get no credit for the fashion in which you won on Friday. Huddersfield played very poorly and it is a damning indictment of Wigan's play if we lost to a side I thought played very poorly, what does that make us?

I can give credit when it is deserved but the game on Friday was a very 'safe' game of rugby league played in poor conditions which meant the only way through was from individual errors or penalties and Wigan's ill discipline proved to be their downfall again which as a fan is the most frustrating aspect of all.

But well done in grinding out a victory and hope your team improve in their next game.

Absolute rubbish, at least the players you have named are English/British rather than the 2nd rate Aussies/Overseas players teams like Wigan insist on signing, hence restricting players like Tomkins,Ainscough and the rest.

Would not swap Hodgeson, Aspinwall or Robinson for any of your lot currently.

So you would rather have them then, Richards, Ainscough and Leuluai

I must admit, I feel exactly the same.

I think this is part of the problem at Wigan with regards to the attitude of some of the fans. As you say, there never seems to be a grey area with some of our fans. We're either going to the Grand Final or we're finishing bottom of the league.

I think Noble has brought us some way from when he first came here but I think we may have plateaued under him and we need to bring in a fresh face, preferably an Aussie coach. I'm not solely blaming Noble for our current run of poor form and a poor win:loss ratio but I do think it is time for a change.

When I get home in the summer I go to every game I can. I've said it before on here, I really don't understand how fans can stay at home. How does that help?

I personally would never stay away but some fans think it sends a message and it gratifies them I guess as they think it may help out in the long-term.

I know it's not you, but who do they think it sends a message to?
By staying at home they're giving the club less money to spend on making things better for 2010.

I guess it's the players and/or the coaching staff and/or the management board. People have different ideas don't they, I don't agree with this mentality, but it happens and that is life.

I am not sure why some on this thread relate the initial post to anything other than my feelings about Wigan, it has nothing to do with Hudds, it has nothing to do with wanting Wigan to win every trophy etc.

What it is about is the total lack of development or improvement in the team, either with regards to the passion they display, the basic skills of the team or the lack of variation in the team.

I personally am of the opinion we have the talent to challenge, but we are underachieving no a massive level and sometimes we get to see how good the team can be but more often than not we see a very mediocre performance.

The Millward time inspired me more than the current team, we may have been poor but we were never dull, at the moment we are just dull and low quality, which is from a Wigan fans point of view totally unacceptable.

It doesnt, when people say 'I'm handing back my season ticket', or 'I'm not going again until it is sorted'. I think well can I have your season ticket then?!

Some people take it for granted and if I lived in Wigan the first thing I would get is a season ticket. Ok I would moan things aren't going right, but I would always be 100% behind the team.

To me I wouldn't say the players weren't trying because I know they will be reading these boards thinking us fans haven't a clue and that they 'tried hard' (said in a sarky voice).

I would say they are 'plodding on'. I work in construction and I get lads who are demotivated and don't really care about the job they don't work fast or slow, it does get done but they just 'plod on' and that is exactly what some, not all, of the players are doing at our beloved club.

Also we are not playing as a team, there are individuals trying but are unwilling to play as team.

This is where Noble must step in sort them out! It is his job.
He needs to motivate them a his job is on the line.

Also the RFL nees to lower the number of subs from 12 to 8 its ridiculous. If players got tired easier we would see more skill and a better game as a whole.

Dont talk rubbish!! Hodgeson is one of the worst outside backs in super league ever....aspinwall and robinson are nothing more than average sturdy players....none of these three would get anywhere near the current side...pryce is a far better player than dodgy hodgy and he's in our reserves, smith likewise with robinson, goulding likewise with aspinall (yet all those players played in our reserves this week!!).

In terms of pure skill levels the majority of the players in our first team are far better than a number of those in the huddersfield side and the fact we got beat by yourselves, cas and wakefield is a damming indictment of our current coaching and fittness set up IMO.

TBH though anyone can motivate a bunch of brits to do well against australia....I could do that its easy.....austrailia pretty much do the job themselves with their arrogance and so the fact nobby can motivate GB stands for nothing in my eyes!

Likewise a team full of wiganers is easy to motivate to play for wigan. The problem comes when you try to motivate austrailian/ out of town journeymen to play for wigan, who to them we are just another club, who they play for to earn their crust - so who can blame them really?!! (with the exeption of Richards, Leuleui, Feka, and Carmont, who can really say any other of the aussie/ no wigan brit contingent are ever truely motivated and give their best?!?!).

IMO wigan need to do one of two things to sort the issue....either bring in a first class coach and motivator....who will get rid of the cr@p that doesnt want to play for wigan and doesnt give their all, or alternatively play a wigan team full of wigan players from one to seventeen, save for the abovementioned players who IMO are completely absolved from any critisism. IMO i would go with both of those options - those 4 'adopted wiganers', plus a wigan side, along with a true world class coach.....even if that team did lose every week at least theyd give their all, and things would slowly start to improve

People are getting fed-up not because of the defeats, but the manner in which we're losing or even getting the 2 points.
I'm with you in that if we had 17 lads playing for the shirt and giving it 100% the fans would at least see that and take some heart.
There are some deadwood players at the club and hopefully for a good few 2009 will be their last in cherry and white.

The worrying thing for me is that even on the DVD he talks in ridles, like he does in fron of the camera on more formal pundit duties.

I take on board that you have quality in your reserves but doesn't that tell you something when the 2nd rate aussies are keeping your young kids out!!!
