I am sure everyone will not be slagging the likes of Mossop off if he makes a mistake. Will Goulding get the same leeway? I have my doubts.
Certain players have for one reason or another polarised opinion. Ainscough is another who would have people queuing up to say "I told you so" were he to play and make the same mistakes as Pat did on Friday despite the fact Ainscough is also inexperienced.
My view is with the Hock situation and now the injuries we need to react as a crowd as we did in 2006 and cheer the young players on. It is muck or nettles now (crikey, Imust be turning into Nobby coming out with that..).

I agree, with the injuries and the Hock situation, we need everyone as one cheering the side on from here on in and who knows what we might achieve.
But my point is the same - Pryce did well on Friday but was 75% slated, if Goulding turns in the same performance, will he be, the answer is no because he is a wiganer.

Hull K R scored off a high kick, so did Quins. Same mistakes happen without Ainscough yet he is the one who gets dropped.

I think there are a few on here who don't rate Goulding and so I think he will get the same treatment as you mention Pryce got from them.

Well I'm one, don't get me wrong I'd love nothing more than to see Goulding become a top class centre for us, however we rarely see much from Goulding to warrant him being in the team, in fact the best thing for Goulding was for him to go out on loan without the pressures of Wigan and see whether he could flourish.
I personally see more promise in Pryce than I do in Goulding, and it's a shame either way that Goulding doesn't have the physical capeabilities of Pryce, or Pryce being gifted with the work ethic and commitment than Goulding shows.

| If we could combine Gouldings attitude with Pryces size and ability we would have the best centre in World Rugby.

I would like to echo that and am sad to see him go. He has been very consistent in all his games and has always put in 110%. 5 tries in 8 games isnt too bad either. At least he went out on a high scoring and helping us beat Saints
All the best

And now do you believe me that :-
a) he was at the reserves game on Saturday
b) he was talking to Wigan on Saturday
Or do you believe the Daily Mirror?

I didnt say I didnt believe you or say you was wrong. It is not too difficult to comprehend. He was at the reserves so what, he was talking to Wigan on Saturday, again so what. That is irrelevant when the article was Friday. It is quite plausible, seeing as the news has come out about him being recalled, that he was called to go there on Saturday to discuss it. This does not prove that Wigan had been in touch with him for the 2 months before this. I would rather believe what he says in his quote in the Daily Mirror and what I have been told by people in the Salford set up.
"Wigan can call me back at any time. But to be honest I don't know too much what's going to happen because no one has spoken to me."
Also when his loan was extended and the Salford coaches were talking to him they were quite embarrassed when it became aparrent that no one from the Wigan club had been in touch to tell him. They couldnt believe it. I suppose you know best though.

Spot on, that's how it is in my mind, and how I'd play it if I were Nobby.

It's the only positive to come out of the injury latest news. We get to see the talent that has been destroying reserve teams for the last 12 months.
Fans of rival clubs are gloating for joy but don't realise the talent Wigan have available to compensate the loss of Lockers, McIlorum and Hansen.

Funnily enough this is how I feel about Goulding; he gets slated no matter how he plays, he simply doesn't deserve it, he's got the potential to be a great player.

We could see the rewards of a time like this in a few years also. The more gametime the likes of Farrell, Tomkins, Mossop, Flanagan and a few others get the more they will improve and the more experience they will gain. If we play our cards right with our young player no one can argue that we cannot be a force once again.

To be honest, this is a familiar story from Salford.
When David Hodgson first went there, we heard all kinds of stories from Salford folk on here about how he was bad-mouthing Wigan for the amateurish way the club was run, and how badly he'd been treated while he was here. He even apparently ripped into the Wigan fans. Later on, however, Hodgy denied that he'd ever made such comments.
I'm not quite sure what you guys gain from it. It is some kind of moral high ground because you don't have anything else?
