i agree but at the moment id leave the team as it is if hock has broke his hand id put phelps in at centre and bailey in at second row, i like the way we played with smith off the bench and changed it all around. the opposition dont know whats happening at all, i know smith is iffy in defence thats why id have him defending completly on the wing then on the fifth let your winger drop back and obviously smith moves in to centre, other than that i feel quite confident against huddersfield

if we play sensible, controlled rugby we can definitely beat huddersfield. i know they pasted quins today, but by all accounts the londoners were awful.

not heard anything from that game, the thing what hudds do so well is they slow the game down very well if wigan get stuck in that it will be a hard game, at least the little kicks to the in goal the hudds do well shoud be cleared up well by paaatt

Ainscough's doing great but how many tries does anyone think he'd have scored playing on the right wing? Not a lot probably.
Attack wise Carmont is the best centre we've had since Renouf.
He gets his wing man away very often. On the right side that just does not happen.
As for Pryce, I hope they persevere with him. Two games in is no time to judge him after two seasons out. He's massive and when fit he'll be a great addition to the squad.
Ainscough just needs to keep going as he is, six tries in five games is excellent.

What's all this talk of putting Phelps back into the centres and Bailey to the SR?

Don't we learn from past errors/mistakes? Phelps and Roberts were defensively very week, it just didn't work, we were leaking in tries before it was fixed by moving Bailey back to the centres. I don't rate Phelps as a centre one bit, was better on the wing, can't believe we bring in such Aussies from the other side of the world. Why fly him all the way out here?

Learn from mistakes and move on.

Additionally why not stick to giving one of the young lads a run in? Look how well it's worked with Ainscough and Tomkins. Since Phelps has been injured we've improved across the backs.

Give Mossop/Farrell/Flanny a go, you never know they might just prove to be worthy of being in the 17/19.
By doing this it sends out a good message to the young lads and the squad, letting them know hard work and playing well pays off. Don't put cr*p Aussies back in.

Speaking of Aussies it was a joy to see Timmy Smith and Amos hanging around King St in the early hours of Sunday morning. Look really affected by their recent drop from the team.

what so they're not entitled to a drink? If training is canceled Monday morning whats the problem? If you've not got work Monday morning, and you fancy a drink, would you not go out? Does me head in that how they think it's ridiculous seeing Wigan players going out drinking - So what? It's just like anyone else finishing work and then going for a drink... Alright yeah, if they have got training in the morning or a game then that is bull, and shouldn't be happening - But come on, if they've not got a game/training the morning after so what? i agree, if they had lost id of said ok maybe not show your face in town but when they have won whats the harm in that, its not as if there training the next day is it,i know they train monday morning and not very often on a sunday morning. they trained saturday morning for a warm down would you rather them go out after the game and turn up smashed on sat morning. one more thing no one ever put a thread on here when barrett was out nearly every weekendin odd pubs i dont mean wigan town

I'm sorry if people think I'm too strict with current players, but its the way I think it terms of professional image and standards. And for the body.

I've heard the story of Shaun Edwards drunk as a skunk fighting in Princes and getting his ar$e handed to him incidentally. Players are entitled to a drink (within reason).
