What is it with people having a go at Feka? He has made about 350+meters more then Coley, carried the ball more, made more offloads, broken the line a lot more, and misses 0.05% less tackles than Coley. He has a better tackle completion rate than Paul Wellens!

Actually it's worse than that, what is it with the fans on this forum and their attitudes. At every possible chance people snipe at players, look for errors (McIllorum's forward passes, not one given by the ref - so is there an error?). Why can't the "fans" be happy that the team are playing well, winning games again and looking like a much more cohesive unit? As soon as we display some strength in depth a, "why does player x miss out, or why is y playing?" debate ensues.

Calm Down!! I havn't been impressed with Feka, you clearly have. Its called having an opinion. Take a closer look at him though, theres no way you can say he is as fit as he should be. Maybe he hasnt missed many tackles because he doesn't attempt many. A lot of his "tackles" shown on the stats are when he's third man in and he adds some weight so that he can be marker and doesn't have to get back into the line. Also he does make good yards but check out how slow the play the ball is off the back of his runs.

aslong as it does not prevent us signing a top class prop then a one year deal should be offerd towards the end of the season if he keeps his current form up

He can be quite effective but just think how good he would be if he lost 2 stone. He would have been good enough for the Kiwi's World Cup squad.
It's so frustrating.
If he was dropped until his fitness improved, then we (and He) would reap the rewards at the 'business' end of the season.

If Feka lost 2stone he would not be as devasting when he ran you cant loose that much weight and be the same player

Well deserved MOTM award, its nice when they get it right for once although its usually Sky that get it wrong.

We just need to bring in a tough forward who can intimidate the oppositiion to help our forwards perform consistently.

The stats would suggest otherwise. I'm shocked that people are being critical of Feka, he has been immense in attack all year, his offloading is outstanding.

And missing stupid tackles. Alla Coley in the first two minutes against Wakey.

He's always going to be the best impact prop in the league as he's a devastating runner but i've been of the opinion for a while that he could be even better if he just lost a little weight.

He was well on his way at the back end of the year and was probably ony half a stone off being an ideal weight, his form was great and he was playing pretty long spells aswell. He's then came into this season looking heavier then he finished last season and looks bigger again at the minute.

He's still doing a good job don't get me wrong but he could be outstanding if only he was willing to get in abit better shape.

If Feka got told to go away and lose 2 stone it could work one of 2 ways.

He becomes a 50+ minute prop who has improved mobility and is even better with ball in hand

OR

He loses a lot of his power and isn't as dynamic as he is now and basically isn't the same player

It's a risk that isn't really needed

I don't wan't him to be the same player (good club man), I want him to be sensational. How heavy is he. He looks about 20 stone. If he went to 18 stone, he would be much more mobile and speedy but still difficult to tackle.
I remember Jim Mills being overweight for years and being quite a good player but when he trimmed down he was monstrous.

I dont think he is that heavy 18 1/2 stone tops. Besides look at stuart feilden he lost weight and seems to have lost his edge since then.

The guy is playing well so why change him?

The change would be a subtle one with massive improvments imo.

He was excellent at the back end of last season when he was probably a stone lighter then now by the looks of him.

Feka at the minute= very good good

Feka at the back end of last season minus a stone in weight=even better

He good enough to play for England.

He is a ok prop and nothing more.

I think you will find that there are 10 Props in Superleague with better stats than A. Coley, 2 half descent games do not make him an international class Frontrower,but hey who knows with that clown picking the team owt could happen.

People always winged in the past about players not being picked on form........Coleys easily one of the top 4 form front rowers in the comp therefore should get picked..........well aslong as the people that have always wanted the team to be picked on form get their way!

Sometimes though when in comes to international selection form counts for jaff all!
