I suggest turning your hearing aid up. All you can hear during the pre match is Wigan fans. Obviously that turned flat when we were 16 0 down after about 2 mins.

Agreed, I'm a Celtic fan and like what the Green Brigade have done at Celtic, but we don't need another Green Brigade at Wigan with the same songs and rip offs. Sadly it seems to have gone away from what it was at first. It worked for the Green Brigade because the majority of their songs were already being sang mostly anyway so other fans could join in. Like the new one disco land that the Brigantes have ripped off.

As for Jamie Foster, I'd be surprised if he plays super league again when his contract runs out, simply awful.

I'll go with the point about home games - the atmosphere's flat unless we're playing Saints/Wire/Leeds, but the Semi-Final? We were there, and there was plenty of atmosphere/singing from both sets of fans. Admittedly, it went a bit quiet at our end when Leeds scored 3 quick tries & everyone was in shock, but after that it picked up well.

And didn't think the atmosphere was generally nasty last night - could only hear booing of Jamie Foster, and the Sam Moa incident, which was disgraceful if true, was an isolated incident in the West.

Yep, and they are insisting on singing these songs throughout the game. Ones that were introduced last season and were really taking off like Cherry n White, Dale Cavase etc and older more traditional ones aren't being sung anymore. It's gone from being a group to get the whole Wigan fans going at home and away games to a group singing and chanting by themselves.

On the Brigantes topic ... It is only them who sing the "up up up" thing and a few others no one else sings .. At one point the drummer sounded like he was doing a funeral march.. Not very inspiring.. Let's get back to stuff people want to join in with..

Foster is a very average player and I really dont understand how some fans can get so wound up by him. The Sky hype certainly has not helped him or his career and someone should have a word with Eddie and Stevo about the damage that can be caused by hyping young players up way beyond their actual ability.

I totally agree with that, which is another reason why it was embarrassing to see him targetted the way he was. If he was a good 'un it would be more understandable, but he isn't.

Didn't think there was anything wrong at first, a bit of booing and laughing everytime he had a shocking moment is something that happens for a lot of players all the time. I'm sure matty smith will get the same treatment by some sections of saints fans. I do Think it was unnecessary for a certain section in the south stand to start calling him a *wa*ker" though, that was way ott.

Whats the problem in calling him a w@nker? He's a nothing player who thinks he's the dogs knackers and celebrates when he kicks a penalty (did it in the grand final). Not really sure that questioning his sex life is a major problem. They could have gone a lot further which would happen at football and has happened at Wigan many times in the past.

It's not questioning his sex life, it's just abusing him. And was completely uncalled for, unlike other incidents of booing players. It really was an embarrassingly poor performance for him in the end though, he looked totally out of confidence. I'm fine with trying to undermine that, but just abusing him as a person, not a player, will hardly do that will it?

The fans going much further is one of the reasons I don't watch football (along with the product). Went to a Latics match with a friend a few years back, the home fans just spent the match picking out members of the visiting crowd and abusing them. So much fun

Pretty sure that's called homophobic abuse. I'd prefer it if we kept away from that, especially after Cas got fined 40k for it the other year. That's money that could be spent on player development or marketing.

re the Brigantes, singing the songs that people already know is obviously going to improve the atmosphere, which is what they were originally supposed to be about. It's not good singing a load of songs nobody knows and half the time can't make out, because they're not gonna catch on. Some cracking songs have been introduced, and we already have plenty good songs from before Brigantes were formed, so why not use them more often?

Didn't understand singing "you've lost it 5 times..." to Foster personally. Yes he's still officially a Saints player but he's only played in 2 of the finals.
