I don't see how we can leave him at Hudds if the injures to Hansen and Lockers are as bad as is being suggested. He has SL experience now gained by being at Hudds and as a result is further along development-wise than the other two.

The biggest blow is IMO losing McIllorum. Despite a good game last night Riddell is likely not to be able to repeat that based on his season so far and MM was in such cracking firm. If Riddell was half the player he was supposed to be it wouldn't be such a big deal but replacing MM is harder to do than replace the back row players as we do have some depth there.

emboldened are the changes I'd make if Gleeson's still out. The second row would be a bit of a worry but when you lose 3 of your best 5 that will happen, I'd rather have Bailey at centre and Farrell on the bench than give that effortless sod Pryce a run out.

Given we may have some cap space to play with next week, we could do with getting another Nick Graham type loan signing.

If he's done his cruciate ligament I'd be amazed if it was only 6 weeks.

Re a potential new signing this year to replace Hock- we'd be far better getting a prop in and moving Coley down the pack.

Didn't look like a knee injury to me - more a torn calf muscle - he had the tell tale pull up during acceleration / change of direction and immediately reached for that area. Suffered the same thing myself a month ago - just about fully fit again. Pain is generally high up on the back of the leg so makes people think that it is related to the knee initially.

Not a cruciate I don't think, my mates just spoke to his Brother and he says 6 weeks.

I expected worse from what some people on these forums were saying. Still a bitter blow to the team. Lockers is so pivital in both attack and defense.

Still it gives an opportunity (I hope) for Mark Flanagan or maybe even Liam Farrell to step up and show what they can do. The positive of using reserve players and giving them their chance is they will run their blood to water trying to impress.

Gutting if Hansen, MM and O'Loughlin are out injured for lengthy spells.

You never know then, he might make the semi at a push.

Watching Ainscough again today in the reserves, he is a long way short of being a first team player.
