Slightly embarrased to be a Wigan fan tonight.
Some absolute cretin throwing a can at Burgess from the terrace, along with numerous coins, and then fans fighting amongst themselves...genuinely can;t remember the last time I saw such behaviour from Wigan fans.

The simple fact is that this Wigan side can not cope with a side who puts a bit of pressure on them. The whole gameplan seems to go out of the window and they end up like headless chickens.

Leeds started in 5th gear and finished in 2nd gear at most - all this talk about the season being about the run in is pointless, some Wigan fans seem to believe that there will only be Wigan peaking at the end of the season when in fact most teams will be aiming to be playing there best rugby then.

Not a problem with the effort from the players, it simply didn't happen for us tonight.
The point I was making concerned the behaviour of some of our 'fans', I was geniunely shocked when I saw the can thrown at Burgess.

Guy keep this faith because this is a seasoned Leeds side that has big game players all over the field. It’s a long season ahead and anything can happen. You took Leeds all the way in last years play off semi and I feel you’ll do the same again this year.

No, plenty of people did their best to sort it out, tbh I think the 'fighting' came from more of a misunderstanding, but the can and coin throwing was completely inexcusable.

I'm guessing it came from people around the scoreboard as usual?

From what i could see at the top of the South Stand there was a lot of security moving around the away end in the second half

The big games do tend to be a magnet for daft behaviour

Id say its more a case of the away games provide coaches for "kids" (and I use the term in the loosest of senses) to get tanked up on cheap booze and with no supervision either on the coach or at the game its bound to lead to something.

We paid the price for a slow start full of errors tonight and never recovered. After the first 25minutes i thought we went ok and showed how we can play but against a side of Leeds quality you can't afford to start as slowly as that.

I thought we took plenty of positive out of it though and they were the fact we didn't throw the towel in added to the preformences of certain individuals like Ainscough, Leuluai, Ridell, McIlorum and O'Carroll.

We could play to the same standard most weeks and probably come away with a decent share of wins tbh.

Are we sure they were Wiganers? - Last couple of games I've been to at Leeds have been spoiled by can swigging drunken tw@s stood at the back of the stand with leeds accents spitting all over the away fans backs!

It's no wonder trouble starts when things like that go on.

The away end should be all ticket, and only available for sale from the JJB ticket office, its the only way to keep the local nobheads out
