Why? do we have more money to spend on players? Are we full time pro and they're not? Do they not have internationals or SOO calibre players?

Rather its more that I'm not for jumping on the we're poop bandwagon. We're not that far off the money, there were some very nice passages of play tonight, unfortunately offset by some distinctly average. Again, it's players you expect better of, e.g. Lockers, but not far off it. Cas were very good tonight, well disciplined and they exploited Pryces lack of match fitness.'"
Why are all the players constantly making the same errors and underperforming. We have now lost to a Trinity team with 17 fit men in the club, and the 11th and 12th placed teams in last years comp.
We play well when the game plan goes out of the window. I was not at the game but will wait to see the Shenton break regards the defence, a few on here predicted if we did not move forward he would hurt us, so will be interesting to see if the coach picked up on this.

Not nearly as many as us.
Use the same line for the Wakefield game and the Hull game.

Well if we can't beat cas at home what chance against better teams?

are you serious??? we only threw the ball about when the game plan went out the window!
cas played well tonight but they did the basics right. that long range try was basic rugby, putting people in gaps and supporting the player with the ball.
why cant we do that??
theres things going on at the club that are alot deeper than what we saw on the pitch!

You know this is the one thing that does bug me, I can't quite put my finger on it, but in Lockers case, penalty for leaving his hand in there late in the tackle count while Cas were 40 out... try next set... Late on, Lockers again, pushing a bit too hard, threw a ridiculous pass out that lost us 30m that led to a try next set...
Why I am not sure, brain farts/coach killers call them what you will, I think we probably are missing that old seasoned pro, the likes of Faz, Morley, Wiki that would pick up on these things, calm the players down and push the team around, maybe then the errors wouldn't be so glaring...

Apparently not!
Mate your mind is made up and fair enough there is no point debating with you as it is a no win argument. I respect your opinion, i think it is wrong but i respect it, i only hope on monday you show the same faith in whoever the new man is at the club (with a bit of luck).

| A few thoughts from tonight.
Noble should view the Ainscough success as reason to bring in Mossop & Tomkins.
Goulding can't defend & until he learns should play reserves.
Pryce will have a great impact when fully fit.
Riddell is injured.
Bailey needs to play centre until we get back on track.
Why do our forwards make no impact whatsoever.
The team dont know what Smith is gonna do next.

It's not so much that my mind is made up, rather I'm not sure that a new chief is the right answer... It may very well be that Nobby has taken us as far as he can, but I don't think it is as simple as that. I'm less than convinced with the off-field dynamics are right. Coley for example couldn't wait to get off the field, I get the feeling that there may be some off field personality clashes, but in all this is more deep rooted than a coach. But again I accept that I may be wrong there.

Disagree with a few agree with a few, the most crucial one for me is the forwards issue. With our game plan we do not stand a chance in the forwards.
Feka works wonders 1 up, can you imagine if he had a dummy runner that could con the defence or even put a millisecond of doubt in there mind?
At the moment he is taking it up a marked man, and still making an impact with a dummy runner his impact will be frightening.
Noble is relying and has done his entire time on the individual quality of a few players, but he is being found out now Barrett is gone. The key to Nobles "success" as a coach at Wigan.

What's really frustrating though is how slow his ptb is though, given the way he drives players back, draws in a number of players, if he could play the ball a second or two quicker it would give us a fantastic platform. I do agree though mixing it up he would be devastating.

TBH we stood alot deeper tonight, but players like Hansen are never going to break the line. Coley won't break a sweat, nevermind a line. Feka is quality & O'Carroll punches, but we need another prop and a second row who can run like hock but is more the size of Pryce.

Yea, it would be very good, but our play off the back of Feka is affected by the "spoiling" job people do on him.

Brett Ferres could not bust a moist paper bag last year or for the last 2 years, did ok tonight.
It is not a matter of standing deep, infact i think this will harm us under the current tactics as it give the opposition even more time and space to line the runner up.
Feka is affected by the spoiling job as he is lined up every run, just like the rest of the forwards, we do not put doubt into the opposition defences mind, you add doubt you generate breaks, half breaks and quicker play the balls.
At the moment the defence can line us up and gamg tackle/dominate us.
