Slashes are the new piping I see. Who seriously though they looked good when designing it?

Put some dog turd on the shirt and some on here will still say they like it. I haven't bought a "new" shirt since the first Adidas one and this year's effort is no different to the last 8 years that I haven't bought either. The retro shirt is still the best one you can buy IMHO.

The away ones have been really good for the last 4 years now IMO.

I think all the black away shirts have been Ok in the previous years

Just like the NZ kit. We'll have LeuLaui doing the Haka before away matches next season

Shame about most of the homes ones! They all try to hard... lets just have cherry and white hoops with white shorts with red blocks down the side! The guy on abother thread did loads of shirts which were all better than the one we have. Saying that though it really is the shorts that spoil it. The shirt is ok appart from the slash things.

I did this last year based on the St George Heritage shirt. Ignoring the classy sponsor, I would have been chuffed to bits with this.



That being said, it's only a kit and I'm sure we won't be discussing it once the season starts.

Is it just a shirt though? Its also an identity and a way of making money and a way to satisfy the fans.

I appreciate what you're saying but it's not exactly hideous and I'm sure a shortfall in home shirt sales will be made up for in away shirt sales. It is a shame both shirts didn't meet with universal approval but you're never going to please everyone. As Abraham Lincoln once said...

Anyway, Like I said, I'm sure come February kick off there'll be thousands of people walking down to the stadium in their new home shirts and all this will have been forgotten.

There's no doubting that the home shirt will sell alot - albeit as you say possibly not in the numbers of the away jersey.

We have this every season, the home/away shirts aren't well liked by supporters but come the season they're always liked amongst the majority and even those who aren't fond buy it anyway.

You can please the majority though.
