I’ve just watched the highlights and if there was ever a prize for making a mountain out of a mole hill then you win it hands down. It’s been completely blown out of all proportions.

Just watched it myself, mountain, molehill, but should have just walked..... Interestingly, he was in no hurry to get to the initial handbags, probably the last to get there.

Maybe a 1 match ban and a fine, but i would be surprised at that to be honest... Is there a precedent for strutting 10 yards away from a ref in an aggressive manner?

Here's a question, players cannot touch, intimidate or verbally abuse a referee but is it OK for the head of match officials to act aggressively to the other refs?

Depends what you mean by aggressively and I’m struggling to see the relevance between that and what Isa did.

A few years ago several refs quit alleging bullying from their boss.

IT's on Wigan tv about two mins from the end.
Isa doesn't get anywhere near the ref, he looks like he's walking towards him but is stopped by two Wigan people in orange tops then Prof Brooks takes him down the tunnel. He doesn't get with 5 yards of the ref.

I agree. I love it to be honest. For £35 a year I get to see every home and away game (can’t get to them all because of shifts), plus every U19s game as well as women’s matches if I fancy it. Loads of pre and post match interviews as well. Not sure how anybody can complain?

Just seen the Isa yellow card on Wigan TV . Much ado about nothing really . I looked a lot worse from behind the sticks at the game on Friday .

Unbelievable vfm especially on an internet telly.

Not too clever from Isa but thankfully the trainers and the doctor saved him from what could’ve turned in to something more serious. Tough to say if he’ll face any punishment as a lot would depend on the language he was using I guess.

Wigan tv is excellent value for money.
Love the games where Joe Mills and Bilko are doing the talking. Much prefer them to the SKY lot.

Yep, the WiganTV coverage definitely stepped up a gear when they added the Wish FM commentary.

Sin bin sufficient for dragging Hudds player out of fracas, NFA.
No mention of anything regards ref.
Looks like some folk were getting all hot and bothered over nothing.

Reason he was probably upset is that getting sin-binned with 1 minute to go ruined his 80mins every week in every game record

Watched it last night and was expecting something major after reading all the fuss. Absolute non-event. He veers towards the ref (or another player, it's difficult to tell) for a couple of steps and says something (again, impossible to tell what). I'm staggered that anyone thought it warrented a mention. He never gets within coo-ee of the ref who makes no reaction whatsoever!

Just watched the game on Wigan TV as I was away all weekend.

Given some of the comments on here I was expecting to see something major.

It was clearly started Ta’ai by who threw an elbow while getting up to PTB. Not a lot happened in the scuffle. All Isa did that I could see was pull a player away from the rook.

I’d imagine he felt aggrieved that he got a yellow and rightly so imo. That said he should have just walked off rather than walking towards the ref. I’ve no doubt he just wanted to protest his innocence, the Wigan staff did the right thing and stopped him. He didn’t actually do anything.

He’s probably still smarting from the cup game at Wire when he got sin binned and penalised for getting pushed over.

He shouldn’t have reacted like he did but thankfully it didn’t look like too much harm was done.
