Pretty wild atmosphere under there after the game. You had to admire the single steward trying to get everybody out.

Anybody else notice Ganson and Bentham outside? It was after it had started to empty under the stand and people were on the steps or just at the bottom with the giant Goose Green flag over the railings. Ganson and Bentham came round the corner (suited up - with their kitbags), took one look at the scene and quickly ducked back into the stadium. Wonder what would have happened? He actually had a decent game for all the fuss we made beforehand.

It is ace, its up their with the best after match parties.

I didnt see them but I stayed around and spoke to Fielden, Gleeson, Pat and Billy Boston after the game, all the wigan fans had only just gone, imagine what they would of done had they all still been there to see the players come round the corner, it would of been mental.

I hope this is a turning point for our support and the atmosphere keeps up like that for the rest of the year. It will be great if we can go on a winning run and start fighting our way up the table. And a nice Cup run too!

Hopefully we will see simliar celebrations after we win the cup at Wembley

The atmosphere has been lacking since the 2006 season especially at home, imagine if every game was like that for atmosphere, the thing is it often relies on the result, I am sure if the result and the effort was like that every week from the players, it would be bouncing in the stands. Bouncy anyone?

Definitely, the atmosphere has only been as flat as the perfomances. Some games I just can't get up for singing. When the lads are slogging their guts out - and winning

- the place will be rocking.

The singing and dancing under the stand at the end was great. There were some Leeds speccies near us who joined in as well. I think they were just enjoying the atmosphere which I haven't seen for a long time.

There was an old biddy sat near me (she must have been in her 80's) and she went mental during the game. She was dancing around with clenched fists saying 'get in there'. Brill!

The conga down the steps in the north stand was also brill. People I have never seen before were giving me hugs on the way down.

I spoke to Martin Gleeson after the game behind the north stand and asked him if he enjoyed the game. He looked chuffed and said that he had never beaten Saints before.

What would you expect he has played for saints so he is hardly gonna beat himself and well, playing for wire your not gonna get many wins against saints. I spoke to him as well, you must of been stood next to me

The support was awesome on Saturday and again proved that the old days of people slagging Wigan fans off for being quiet and walking early have gone.

Can you imagine the atmosphere if we get to Wembley this year?



We have to win this Saturday at Wakefield..............defeat would hurt so much.

Just got back about 2 hrs ago, Brilliant day on the saturday. After match singing was amazing almost as good as 7 yrs ago (almost).

As a neutral (Wire fan) I thought it was a great atmosphere. It must be strange for you guys to have the neutrals on your side!

It was quite funny that plenty of neutrals were singing 'If you all hate Wigan clap your hands...', and then as soon as Wigan scored, they all cheered and celebrated, because you were playing Saints...

Even more than the 3 million that Hull KR took.

No really I thought we out numbered everyone easy.

Only went on Saturday but we had the most on that day without doubt followed by a very impressive following from Wakefield.

Bradfords following was shocking.

Well there was one incident at bratfut where he beat himself....but we'll say no more

What about Salfords. About 100 max.

As expected from Salford though tbh.

Bradford should be bringing more then that.

I didn't think Saints following was anything to write home about either after imo having the best following for both the Magic weekends at Cardiff.

The atmosphere through out the game was awesome and the singing and bouncing underneath the stand after game was unbelievable.

The atmosphere was brilliant on Saturday, it felt like the whole place was Wigan at times. Didn't hear a peep from the Saints fans, but I can understand why!

Great following from the Wigan fans as always!

I got down on the Friday and having a wander around and the like on Friday and the Saturday morning thought there were a lot of Saints shirts knocking about, plenty Bradford and Leeds too... saw a few, but not too many Wigan shirts till we got to Murrayfield. The game was incidental I think, I don't recall that much (mmm beer!) but the atmosphere was immense, there were Leeds fans dancing away in the middle etc, surreal... The stewards looked really bemused trying to clear the walkways... great stuff.

The walk back to the hotel, stopping off at a couple of beers on the way, was a gem too and I did have to try really hard to be magnanamous when a moaning Saints fall started chatting to us in the pub

I heard a peep off 2 saints fans after the game. Stopped off for a deep-fried Haggis (disgusting) and 2 scousers walked in and I just burst out laughing to which they turned round and said get back to us when you've won more trophies! Luckily I wasn't to drunk to point out that RL didn't start in 96 and that they're a small matter of 40 trophies behind us. Sick as Parrots.
