Potentially the only issue I would agree.
However, im willing to state (with no certainty) that the blue/red & grey/black stuff sells better than C&W coloured stuff.

I'd say it's probably a fashion issue. I think people are more likely to buy the plain coloured things to wear whilst out and about in their normal clothes.

| The club are making great strides in the merchandise avenue, and the current items for sale get better by the week.
IL & Co are doing a great job on all fronts, but please do a Traditional cherry 'n' white hooped rain jacket, it would sell superbly and would be used on a regular basis by anyone in the UK..

| Speaking of merchandise, they should have a word with Micron. It's so difficult to get your hands on videos/dvds of classic Wigan games. The club could make a killing on this front.
Get it sorted.

Man U and Liverpool have red jackets and tracksuits etc so why can't we, we shouldn't change ours colours because they don't fit into everyday life. Our merchandise should be our team colours.

The training gear from last year with the cherry and white training tops were great and the majority should be team colours. A white jacket would probably look naff but the Liverpool merchandise looks great in red.

| There's no doubt that the clothing side of the merchandise has improved 100% with the Kooga deal. Take the clothing away though and the remainder of the merchandise still needs a lot of work and is embarrassing when you look at the size of the club and its fan base.

| We need a shop at the ground not just some trailer like we have now, we need somewhere you go in and look round match/none match day. I dont if this as been mentioned before why not put some merchandise inside the central park tesco that way people can buy iteams at any time of the day as most fans are in work during the week and find it hard to get to the club shop opening hours, what kind of multi millon pound bussines still closes at lunchtime wednesday.

Not a lot of Wigan fans would go in there though (myself included)

yes they should.......they should tell em to go away, and bring another firm in.
last time i tried to contact micron about a game it took em so long to get back that i had already borrowed one and copied it.
its practically impossible to find what you want on their website.
so i reckon its time the club looked around for another company .

Not a chance, I find it hard enough to look at the tesco as it gives me a lump in me throat, will never set foot on that site even if it meant breaking down and walking to the nearest petrol station instead of using that tesco.

| I love central park as much as anyone even still have a bit of grass from the pitch in my garden and my old seat in my wardrobe. But to say you wont go in Tesco is ridiculous in my opinion. So your unwilling to go into a place which bought central park from us when we needed money, we moved into one of the best stadiums in the country for rugby league which helps our turnover and training facilities. But yet your happy for our main sponsor to also be on advertising boards at saints and other grounds.
Not to mention that you probably have been in contact with some of the main sponsors of other teams.
I do admit that the Tesco doesnt seem to respect central park as it should, i would like some form of plaque, statue either in the store as you go in or something directly outside the door on clear display. Granted you have to go past the statue on the mini roundabout (disaster zone) but still more could be done.
On the whole though, people who say they wont go to Tesco confuse me.

The tesco is built on sacred land.
Its like when the yanks build houses and stuff on ancient indial burial ground!
If I won the euromillions I would buy the land back and build a new stadium called 'New Central Park' on the site. ![Very Happy icon_biggrin.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_biggrin.gif)

Exactly my thoughts as well.
The Kooga stuff is great, but once you move away from that there really is not a great deal of choice.

True. I asked on here last week about posters for my lads wall and it turns out they don't do them. I'd imagine this is something that's being addressed by the club but unfortunately it takes time. They're heading in the right direction though.

I don't want to bring the whole Central Park story up, but I believe it was Jack Robinson who sold the land to Tesco to spite Dave Whelan. It wasn't exactly Tescos fault, they made an offer and it was accepted.

| I love the Kooga range and it's been one of the best manufacturers we've had at Wigan IMO.
The only ciriticism I have on the merchendising side of things is the shop itself.

| I went into the shop on Saturday and ended up getting a replica home kit for my 11-month old lad.
I know a lot of people have had issues with the attitude of some of the staff in there, but the woman who served me went out of her way to make sure I got a larger size for the little 'un as the shirts are made quite small apparently.
Slightly OT but I picked up a couple of the free team posters while in there and couldn't believe they'd used a low res image for the team photo. Even the Mrs commented on the image quality once I got home. It seems that for every two things the Club gets right in this regard there is a cock up on the next (i.e. the 'Riddle' and 'O'Gloughlin' mini kits). ![Rolling Eyes icon_rolleyes.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_rolleyes.gif)
