obviously a centre an 7 will be needed (unless Gelling is ready), but with Fielden leaving we will be an experienced prop down, so would like to see one brought in

Pomeroy is the one that jumps out at me. And obviously i wouldn't turn down G.Burgess.

Michael Jennings might be off contract too but Ah Van is better.

Do we need a replacement for Carmont, I believe if Gelling continuous how he has started his Wigan career and another hard pre season under his belt he would accommodate for George's loss. Priorities should be with signing what talent we have and finding a quality replacement for Tommy.

Justin Poore was one player I wanted years ago but not heard much from him of late.

I think we just need a halfback, props can come cheap but halfbacks don't, I'd promote from within with Dudson and Spencer and pay big for a halfback, we need a 6 who can take line on with a decent kicking game and that is all.

Also I don't think we'll be in the market for a centre as we've got Gelling and Thornley, if we was I'd do the same thing as we did with Carmont and Gelling, sign a half decent Islander International on the way up or unwanted by the NRL.

I don't know why we aren't looking in the French leagues, even lower down in the Union leagues for a good kicker of the ball who we could turn into a 6 or 7.

Got another year IIRC. If we are after him I guess we're either paying a fee or he's going to ask to break his contract. Personally I don't think that one will happen anyway.

id back mcilorum to do the full 80, and if he carries on playing as he has been, id be more then happy to let him.

Pomeroy this season has massively improved however last year and before he was distinctly average. I'd be cautious

Poore looked good at St George he performed better than Ryles, he moved to Parramatta and has been average sometimes coming off the bench.

A back up to 9, as I think we only have MM at the club who is SL standard for next year. Filling this position would be second on my list of priorities. Could do a lot worse than Matt Diskin, We should have gone for him when he left Leeds.

Anyone else think that Tuson will have to become a hooker if he wants to stay at Wigan, too small for 2nd row and too many in front of him in the pecking order?

For me the main thing we need is a halfback with a good kicking game, plus maybe a bench hooker to give McIllorum a breather. Gelling\Thornley should be good enough to replace Carmont (though I would love him to stay another year) and not having Fielden won't be anything new, a prop combo of Lima. Mossop, Prescott and Lauaki/Flower/Dudson should be more than capable

how about a player like Kurt Batiste or Ben Hunt of the Broncos........halfback / hooker ....young and not a shoe-in for rep honours, maybe get someone like that at a reasonable salary...????
