| Really pleased for him. Top bloke and great Wigan servant. And as for that conversion on half time! Easily 60m on the fly.

| One of the funniest examples of the blind hatred of Wigan that you get on this board from visitors from other clubs were the people trying to claim that Paaaat wasn't a world class player. They used to come on here to tell us he was an also ran in the NRL and just wasn't a special player. Even in SL.
His 2010 season was extraordinary and for me only Offiah in his partnership with Gene Miles surpassed it in the modern era. In the rest of his career with Wigan Paaaat did more than enough to cement his legendary status. If you retire with only Andy Farrell and Jim Sullivan ahead of you on the all time point scorers list then you're one of the great legends of the greatest club.
I am surprised though by how well he has done in the NRL because I thought his best days were behind him and he would be a decent player at best in the demanding environment of the NRL. This was a serious error; the (super)man is a fantastic athlete and model professional obviously motivated to show the NRL what it was missing all these years. A SOO swan song for Paaaat would be a fitting final accolade to this great player's career.
Go Paaaat!

| Richards was being talked up last year after good start by Wests, Wests dropped off the pace.
Wests are a young team and have had a decent start, Richards is one of the older players providing experience and one of the best goal and place kickers in the NRL he has also laid on some tries, one in particular stands out when he kicked as he was being tackled in touch. He has had a few stitches 2 games on the run and showed all his class returning to the pitch and hitting the 55m penalty. The Bulldogs claimed he should have been treated under concussion rules and make take the matter further.
Good to see a top player get recognition for the attributes all Wigan fans new he had.

| Yeah, I'm delighted for him; he's been such a great servant to us and the game. And I'm sure Luke Brooks and the rest of them are benefitting from Pat's experience.
