| Re the world cup, shoulder charges will be allowed on even numbered tackles and illegal on odd numbered tackles.......
Seriously though, I think the Rfl have got this right, as a well timed shoulder is a spectacle within the game. On the reverse side, I'd hope anyone getting it wrong will be getting a long mid season break.
But this also make the game as a whole look poor, when the rules are different depending on which side of the world you play. Surely the administrators of the game can put a common set if rules AND interpretation of those rules in place.

| International RL isnt ruled by the NRL. The RLIF designate the rules for the international game, the RFL choose to follow, almost completely, the RLIF rules, the NRL from time to time decide to invent their own rules.
Unless the change comes from the RLIF prior to the world cup, they will allow the Shoulder charge, There isnt another season between now and the WC (except this one, which will allow the Shoulder Charge) I cant see the RLIF expecting every other nation to adapt to the NRL rulings between the end of their seasons and the WC. Though i do expect some typical ocker foot stamping at some stage.

| This is a smart move by the RFL (never thought i'd say that). Gives us a potentially massive NRL viewing market now who want to see "good ol' fashioned biff tackles".

| RL itself is turning into two seperate codes, we need global rules. Each team from each country plays by the same rules. It's starting to look a little embarassing
