Very interesting set of stats but as Dobson only played 14 games for us I reckon that is also statistically insignificant when you are comparing him to players with sometimes hundreds of games under their belt. I reckon at least a full season would be a better qualifier.

If you look at Dobson's [uUK career[/u as a whole which is 115 games so far the average drops to 8.73.

It's clear Pat has been consistently good over many games when you realise how many games he has maintained that average over. Is there a statistician out there who could weight the figures in some way to take appearances into account other than a simple average to give us a "value" statistic?

especially impressive for pat seeing as I think he hasn't always kicked and he played a few seasons in a very average wigan side.

as far as faz, I think wigan did ok out of that deal.

A full season then....it doesn't make much difference to that list.

He is another who played relatively few games for us, 30. So more than a season but its still questionable if you can compare someone with relatively few games like him to someone like Pat who has clearly kept at this high standard for so many more games.

Shows we have a great player for the years to come In Charnley there he's done some kicking I know but not loads and he's already getting himself into tables like that smashing.
