Its good to see the Reserves only conceding just over 11 points a game and the Academy only conceding 15 points a game. That's excellent defence.

In the 2nd half today Wakefield has some sustained pressure on our line, but the academy lads did a very good job of stopping them getting at least a couple more scores.

Both the reserves and the academy play with a spirit and togetherness that is lacking at times in the first team.

I said the same thing after seeing a Cumbrian team tour Australia last year, they were all powerfully built athletes and had a successful tour.

The centre Karl Olstrum was at Bradford Bulls last year and could prove a good pickup for Wigan.
