He had far more support at Bradford, and with players like Anderson and Vagana providing the bulk up front he was left to play 80 minutes and was extremely effective.
Now he's expected to produce for Wigan, what Anderson and Vagana for Bradford, as we have nobody else to do it.
It's easier to blame Fielden than it is to the look at the facts we haven't provided him with enough support in the front row since he's been here.
His work rate is no less than it was at Bradford, he just doesn't have 2 x 6'4, 19 stone guys playing along side helping him to smash the opposition. That's the biggest difference between the player we saw at Bradford, and the player we see at Wigan.
At Wigan he's expected to carry a very average pack, at Bradford he was part of great pack that had the size and ability to dominate, something our pack doesn't have, and hasn't had since he's been here. It would be the same if Fielden left, and in my opinion we'd be a far worse team if he did just that.
I understand your points but i think we dont let our other props offer him support in the same way Bradford did, possibly because of Nobby's lack of faith in O'Carroll or Prescott?
Obviously im not saying we can match the Bradford pack and Vainikolo of a few years ago but we're a good pack in SL terms of today, not bad anyway, we can compete with most teams in the forwards i would say
