Broncos Academy start their campaign away at Hull FC today 2pm KO.

Don't see the women's team listed among the Challenge Cup group fixtures though.

On the topic of the Broncos Ladies, last year they were joined by Bedford Tigers, British Army, Golden Ferns, Cardiff & Cornish Rebels in the Super League South, where it's fair to assume we were the 3rd best side...but we hosted the final and as such filled the corporate lounge for the only time that year which monkey patted himself on the back for.
I've seen little activity other than open trials being held, but we didn't fire a shot in anger in 2021 until June. AFAIK, there hasn't been a Broncos Ladies in the challenge cup in the past, so I expect to see the ladies take to the park until summer
That said, the RFL have yet to announce the Southern Conference fixtures yet, just the main comp, so let's hope the enthusiasm is there from the club

Today the Academy are due to face Newcastle KO 2.30pm at Richmond.

No activity at the ground. Apparently cancelled due to lack of Broncos medical staff. Hope the visitors had not travelled.

A bit of a flurry of posts on Twitter account including an actual match day 17 post showing it can be done. Result not up yet but suspect it will be. Looks like some energy around announcing this game and the ladies match perhaps more than we’ve seen for first team in a bit and certainly the reserves which is almost completely ignored.

Team sheet for the academy shouldn't have CTM or key and eagle logos....I believe the LBSA are the the principle sponsor if the lads???

You are quite right Orangeman in pointing out the clubs failure to identify the LBSA as the team sponsor.
Ironically the LBSA I believe, are the only sponsor to pay actual money for their sponsorship. And the club treat them rather badly. Especially under Monkey.

Someone needs to collar Hughes at a game and spell this out to him....he has no idea of how far backwards we have gone whilst other sports clubs are doing well post covid

We don’t know the in and outs at our own club let alone other Championship clubs, but we do seem to have had a bad COVID which is particularly odd as we seemed to take a very risk averse approach precisely to avoid that. Our running down of back room staff, match days at Ealing (with crowds of paying attendees barely making 3 figures (in my opinion) )and fan engagement to name but 3 disappointing trends.

I agree now is the time for the club’s decision makers to offer their updated views on progress and next season. As you’ve said before where are the JC monthly updates: possibly morphed into the one minute post- match post-mortems that no one is enjoying. I’d really like to hear from the club now. I note that the likeable Illies Macani is interviewed on our Twitter feed and over a series of posts gives answers to quite difficult questions. I’m a little surprised it was him in the frame not the manager or,indeed, the club captain but he gives it a go in an engaging manner. 2 takeaways: his thoughts on going PT are quite illuminating- they don’t really gel with the ‘nothing to see’ approach the club took to the move to PT and, secondly his thoughts that youth/lack of experience was (in part) at the heart of some of the poor outcomes. I think I see what he’s getting at but if you look at the 17 for Newcastle I’m not sure how many are ‘young’ by professional sportsman standards. I make it about 3.
