| Konrad Hurrell has fallen out with the NZ Warriors coach, Andrew McFadden. He is allegedly available. A devastating attacking centre, he would rip open Super League defences, not to mention Championship ones.
He would be more than a replacement for Nathan Stapleton. He is superior to the point of being worth three Stapletons.
Could London afford him?

He probably doesn't know and is just guessing.
The Catalans are reportedly considering Hurrell as a one season replacement for the injured Krisnan Inu. But there is nothing definite yet. So why couldn't London make a bid?
Konrad Hurrell would have more impact for London than Fui Fui Moi Moi has had for Leigh. If signed, he could crash attack enough tries to put London into Super League this year.

| Maths should probably provide the answer - assuming he's on median wage at the Warriors for top 25 players (unlikely, he'll be on more) and they're at top of cap (£3.475 million), he's earning £139,000. As we are able to spend 50 of "relevant income", and we equate that to total income (which it isn't), we'd be able to spend 50% of £2.146 million (if we assume same turnover as 2014). This gives an average spend of £43,000 per player.
It's possible that with Lovegrove leaving, there could be enough, but not in the face of offers from either the NRL or even Super League.

| Does the contract have to be a season long one? I doubt we would be able to sign this calibre of player but as we must have room for more players to fill in lovegroves cap space plus any other cap space we had left, spending that on only the second half of the season could effectively double the players monthly wage, or have I completely missed the point of the salary cap with that?
Fag packet maths says that a £39k player not signed in January could leave us being able to sign a £78k player in July - December with release clauses if we don't get promoted?

| A Jamie Soward type deal would be good. Sign for the rest of the season and then move on.

That is exactly the kind of approach I was thinking of.
