I'm sure we have a fair few from 'oop north' watching Quins, so just thought I would give 'The Lancahsire Hotpots' a bit of free publicity. They are playing at the Bull and Gate near Kentish Town on saturday night (bout 8ish).
Hilarious and a good night out. Unfortunately there all Saints fans, but don't let that put you off. I'll be there in my Wire shirt

My parents have seen them play in St Helens a couple of times and I believe they are a good laugh live. I've got their [iNever Mind[/i album on my ipod, amusing in a "lets take the p*ss out of the Houghton Weavers" kind of way, but the joke wears thin after a while.

On record it does a bit yeah, but there a great live band (the production on the recorded stuff sounds a bit cheap anyhow).
I suppose nostalgia for home is one of the main reasons I like them.
