Clubs have got to learn from the drop in attendances, and last night they were even doing a special one price ticket deal. Supporters will not pay for a season ticket, expensive enough! then have to pay increased prices for cup and play off matches, especially when they are on TV.

What would we rather see grounds with plenty of supporters in or a few paying the current stupid ticket prices?

On Sky I hit the "I" button before the game and apparantly it was being played at the Twickenham Stoop

what annoyed me was the constant bleeting from the commentators about the game not being a classic etc. sorry but i loved the low score and defence shown by the dragons that stunted the dwarfs attack. I thought the game was a good old fashioned cup tie ... However seems sky want big scoring matches and poor defence. I bet sterling and gould would have talked the game up not down. Also you can bet your last quid the rah rahs would have talked it in to being the best play off game ever.

I have seen your average attendance for the season and you may well have something to worry about.

When you get a home game in the play offs on a Friday versus Catalans we will have to see what gate you get. First you need to finish in the top 6.

Lets be honest, pretty much all of the attendances in the play-offs have been appalling this year.

I'd love the Dragons to win the play-offs from the bottom half of the table just to show what a farce it is.

Leeds are clearly the champion Superleague club.

Why would it be a farce, Leeds have received the trophy for winning the league- as did Saints the 2 previous years.

Parramata have reached the final in Aus from a similar position to Cats.

Is it much different to teams getting promoted in football from 6th position over teams that finished 3rd or whatever RU does for there comp?

Football play-offs are crap as well. You've got the FA Cup & RL Challenge Cup to reward teams that finish in the bottom half of the table but are able to peak for a few one-off matches. I find it absurd that a team can play for more than half a year, week in week out, achieve better results than any of their rivals, but not be recognised as true champions.

I refered to a home game in the play offs. Only the top 6 get a home game. 7 and 8 do not. Thus top 6. HTH

Back to topic. I think it is unfortunate that a 'Quins supporter' should play the childish game of slagging of a club's attendances. Thankfully most Quins fans I have met are much better than that.

Your attendances are a disgrace to the game, the sooner your club collapses and goes back to the lower leagues like it deserves to be, the better.

Actually you and others may have got the wrong end of the stick with regards to the attendance. I was in the first instance trying draw attention to another poor play off crowd, but as you felt the need to pick up on our attendances - mud sticks.

I have on another thread last week slagged off the previous rounds attendances - thus hitting Leeds, Saints, Wakey and Wigan fans.

At the end of the day the PLAY OFF attendances of ALL CLUBS taking part have been rubbish.

I doubt Saints v Pies will sell out this week. Leeds v Cats just a shade over 10K i think. For some reason we (the RL fans as a collective) have gone off the plays - other than the final. Last year the attendances weren't to great either.

Poor marketing and lack of promotion by the RFL all season long. They are not building up the excitement and importance of the games from Round 1, hence not body turns up! 4263 speaks volumes.

...and finally to complete a "Quins Supporters southern rant" I know our gate would be poor in present climate if we had had a home play off game - I don't need you to tell me the facts of life! i live here, I go every week, I know our failings on that front.

Perhaps it was a thread title refering to just one game rather than the play offs that was 'misleading'. While you may recall other threads you have created in the past there is little reason for anyone else to do so. I am sure you are well placed to comment on whether 'mud sticks'
