The Semi Final of the RLC Regional Competition will take place at the Twickenham Stoop on Sunday September 6th as a curtain raiser to the Quins RL vs Castleford Super League fixture.

Unbeaten RLC East winners Northampton will take on Devon Sharks for the right to take on Jarrow Vikings in the Final of the competition a week later. Devon finished 2nd in their division but ended up as Grand Final winners in the South West.

Northampton already boast one of their players in the Quins ranks. 16 year old Will Lovell played in the Under 16 Foundation Academy earlier this year and has earned himself a spot in the Under 18 squad for 2010.

Northampton will be taking 100 people to this game on Sunday and we are all looking forward to the day.

Didn't see the game but I would suggest that maybe the club have stumbled onto something!
Why not have these types of games before every SL game at the stoop? There is often debate about why the local amateur club players don't come to the stoop, but there were at least 200 friends and family of the 2 teams there on Sunday.....

Following the semi final victory at the Stoop, Northampton defated the Jarrow Vikings 40 - 14 to be crowned the National Champions of the RLC Regional Competition.

We thoroughly enjoyed the day at the Stoop and hope to be back there soon.
