| A copy of my email fired off to PB tonight.
Here are two reasons I no longer attend Harlequins Rugby League games on a regular basis.
1. I sat through tonight’s game squinting into the sun trying to shade my eyes in an attempt to watch the game.
2. I went to the ticket office before the game and asked to purchase a £20 ticket sitting with the Quins supporters. I was told that there were only £15 seats left and these were in blocks AA/AB. I enquired as to whether these were with the Quins supporter and was told “yes”. I was invited to choose a seat which I did, so I was a little surprised when the ticket said “unallocated “seating. I asked again whether these seats were for Quins supporters and told categorically by the ‘supervisor’ that this was the case. When I arrived at Blocks AA/AB, I cannot say I was surprised that in at least 50% of the occupied seats were Leeds supporters having had a similar experience at my last visit to the Stoop. It is bad enough watching your team annihilated by the opposition without being ridiculed by the opposition’s supporters surrounding you.
I appreciate your efforts in trying to encourage people to come along to the Stoop and but until you improve greatly on the match day experience, fans, some like me who have been supporting the Club since its inception, will continue to dessert the club.
I hope that you can find an answer to these issues before the exodus becomes unstoppable.

This isn't really the point, the point is Sky got their footage of nearly a full stand of people squinting in an attempt to watch the game!
That's the main thing

| Same experience sat in AB but then I only paid £5 due to the football shirt promotion so can't complain. However if this was my first ever visit it would have been a very poor experience since I was surrounded by Leeds fans who moved from behind the sticks. The stewards don't care and have rarely bothered to check tickets all season.
The atmosphere is poor (not just today's game) and sounded like no QRL fans were present even when we were winning. One thing I have noticed since moving from the Lexus is the noise, there isn't any from the home support. This is not a criticism about the loyal and load, just the location the East stand is pants.

1. Some sort of peaked cap might be in order.
2. Suck it up! I was on the West Terrace at our place and didn't fire off a complaint because you stuck it to us when you won. Grow up.

The club really do need to think about this, its extremely unpopular with a lot of folk that come on here
Mates of mine who support Leeds also seemed confused as to the seating arangments.
As for tickets, i have not sat in my allocated season ticket weat once yet! and have never been asked to show my ticket to the stewards
lets get back over the other side and get sky to put there cameras where the sun shines

It appears the club despite all their words simply don't give a damn about their customers/supporters. We have had a GM for a while now and nothing has changed
Time to sort it out

Oh no, you can't possibly criticise the Loyal and Load (sic). They might get upset.
Here we go - i'll criticise them - as you say, only bothered when the team are in front and silent for the rest of the time. They don't dare to criticise anyone and just sit in silence while the team get a thrashing. Get on their backs ffs, encourage them to do something rather than sitting there, waiting for full time, giving the team who've just recieved a hiding a friendly applause off the pitch for their magnificent effort. Its cringeworthy and embarrassing. The team are seemingly untouchable.
Its a completely different experience at away matches - if we're winning great, of course people are vocal, but if losing narrowly or even heavily, people are not scared to get behind the team and let a player know when he's made a mistake.
Plenty of people around where I sit in AG are vocal through the whole match and actually offer something to proceedings rather than sitting there in silence, miserable and waiting for the next time to start dancing.

So? Thats your problem, nobody elses. If you choose not to make an issue of it then thats up to you. My season ticket seat is free every week and if it wasn't I would politely request that the person in my seat move on somewhere else. Not difficult.

Fortunately I thought to put a cap in my bag before leaving home, although with my seat being in the back row I didn't expect to need it. I was surprised to find the sun was shining straight into my face from below the roof right from the start and without a cap I'd have had a very poor view of the match indeed. I don't like wearing caps and only buy them for watching cricket as I find it easier to follow the ball even in dull conditions, otherwise I wouldn't even own one. I also wouldn't have expected to worry about getting sunburnt in the back row of the stand, but this would have been an issue too had it been any hotter as I burn very quickly and was wearing a short sleeved shirt.
Alright, I'm in a grumpy mood after the result, but I forked out for the best season ticket on offer and find myself staring straight into the sun while the best seats in the ground remain empty. Yes, we know the reasons given, but its absolutely f***** ridiculous.
I won't stop supporting the club but I'm not sure I'll renew my ST next year, which means I'll probably miss some matches that clash with other things I want to do instead of making Quins top priority. It's time this club started putting the people who actually turn up and pay to watch the matches first and tells Sky TV they'll have to move their cameras to a different position if they don't like the view from the Lexus Stand. No wonder our attendance figures are so bloody poor.

| Couldn't agree more PoD - moving to the East Stand has undoubtedly worsened my match day experience. But can't ever see me stopping paying top dollar for my season seats - guess I am swayed by the "greater good" argument, at least for now.

What does everyone do when its sunny? Sit inside and complain?
Why not try a hat or some sun glasses? Being at The Stoop is no different to going to the park or something.

If you're in the park you're probably not trying to focus on watching a group of people doing something unless you're some kind of pervert.
I don't like wearing hats and sunglasses. And if I was in a park (or more likely a beer garden) in the sun I'd sit with my back to it, not looking directly at it! (And quite honestly, if it's really hot I'll sit in the shade.)
