You continue to muse about how the club opening 1 stand is acceptable and that its tough luck for any moaning later comers dragging their backsides along who are shoved in the front row while you enjoy your great seat, even though you would have come to the match regardless of where you sat. I have supported the club this far too, it doesn't sound like you will be particularly bothered when things go tits up in 2 years time though.



Perhaps you could expand on the things that you disagree with me about and where the club have done a spiffing job.

I'm finishing a business related degree this year with plenty of marketing involved in it, so don't you worry, I'll be putting my hand up when the time comes and could do a damn sight better than the current monkeys running the club

Supporters not liking your posts........ever asked yourself why quite a few long term supporters (who still go to matches) do not bother posting on this forum any longer?

I am not musing about anything.....there is only one (possibly 2) stand/s open, accept the situation......I`ve got a good seat, you haven`t.

You seem to be fairly unconcerned with the club implementing strategies that will drive away new supporters rather than attracting them.



Its funny how much money graduates doing my degree can demand. I suppose they just give out such positions to anybody though. I know the idea of someone actually doing something positive for the club with regards to marketing it to new supporters scares you, but one day, it just might happen.

Like you say you are not bothered by other supporters (and I`m the one with wrong attitude?).....take a look back yourself, it should not take long to identify who does not post anymore or a lot less frequently....GOB, DSWG and others

The Gob and I have exchanged text messages lately (apologies I didn't reply last time btw Mike), and last time I saw DSWG at a home game we had a chat. I think you're reading a bit too much into things. I don't think they have any problems with me anyway, nor any other users.

Cheers, degree is going well thanks. I'd like to see someone turn things around, but it won't be the current incumbents. Obviously the fundamental problem lies elsewhere but this is more clear cut, and you never know, maybe there was some evidence last week of this being sorted out.

Yup example still holds........the whole stadium is not was is `actually` on offer, therefore if you want a ticket you have to make the best of what is available.

You made the bit up about `how they should be treated`.

You know them personally then? Fair enough if so, I wasn't aware of this, especially after The Gob text me after the Catalans game.


And then there is what should be available. I would be pretty frustrated if I got on a plane in a rubbish seat if half of it was empty for no good reason. Although I'm struggling to think of a seat on an aeroplane that would cause me distress. So your example is flawed even further.



This is why the club will go nowhere, as the club share this pathetic attitude.

I can't believe the clubs apparent lack of activity since the Wakey game. Last year the RFL were responsible for the gate, the seating and the profit made.....all of which made for the biggest gate of the year, both sides open, a cracking atmosphere and a ROI in just 1 game.....

Im with Listy on this one. Its a disgrace, Im hoping to bring 2 or 3 people to the game who cant confirm until today, so I couldnt get tickets in advance. As a result i will probably now be stuck on the edges, as according to the website all the good seats are gone. Why didnt the club use this as a marketing tool?? The main stand is nearly sold out so we are opening the south stand? Unallocated seats in the new stand behind the posts would be brilliant and id be more than happy to sit there. But I dont want to sit on the front row or the edges of the 1 stand thats open for a showpiece game. Its pathetic. Still no replica shirts for sale?? pathetic. The clubs marketing is pathetic and embarrassing. I will always support the club and get to all home games. But we dont deserve a SL place. We are not a professional operation.

If people want fans to stop moaning on here then the club needs to start behaving in a way that a SL club that respects the sport should.

after reading all the posts i wish i hadnt started this thread,i got our tickets in the etihad,not bad view and 30 quid for 4 tickets....bloody good value i think,and if the sun gets in my eyes ill pull my cap down a bit further.im not a marketing man so will leave it to those getting paid for it.i shall just enjoy seeing our lads playing the nrl champions and remember all those years ago at crystal palace playing 2nd division games.....now you would have had something to moan about back then re marketing etc.

Done my rounds, managed to get a crew of 8 together... gone to buy tickets online... only 6 single seats in different stands/areas available.

Now, do any of you find this acceptable? Please defend this?

I cant buy tickets to a game that has sold a small amount of tickets.

No wonder ticket sales are down.

I dont even know if I will bother tomorrow. Please dont tell me to call the club, if I wasnt a regular at the stoop how would i know that this club is inept and I would need to call the box office, or roll up at the gate. To a newbie this would give the impression of a sell out, when in fact we will be lucky to have a ground 1/3 full tomorrow.

You should have bought your tickets months in advance of course, not the club's fault

Lets hope the club have learned some valuable lessons from this. Imo the ethiad should have been season ticket holders priority for maybe 1 week to buy their seat tickets and as many as the £5 tickets as They wanted. after that Blocks AA,AB AC AG AH AJ Unallocated with Either the Lexus or North/South stand open from the start. I know their will be a lot of walk ons on the day and probably majority Antip's who the club should be targeting to return to watch the Quins on a regular basis. Lets hope the game is a good un and the bar is organised.

Nothing wrong with the ground and the style of play is pretty boring now you mention it......But yes...it is Marketing! (or lack of it and CRM)

OK so its no ideal but going from 8 attending to not going 'cause you cant sit like primary school kids in a row seems unusual.

wire-quin i dont know how you can make that comment! its f'n pathetic on the clubs behalf. you should be able to sit with your mates at a game that has a crowd that isnt even a third of the grounds capacity. this is a game that is supposed to showcase the club to 'new fans'.

i used to wonder why the game in london hadnt grown, here's why. i won't even use the word amature, because amature clubs are doing a better job at promoting the game in this city.
