I liked Navarette. Will be a very good prop for you next year. He’s the kind of prop that will keep running into a brick wall and has that bit of aggressive streak.

Wonder how much we paid for navarette, i believe he was contracted to wigan until the end of 21 season

Navarette was not given a squad number at Wigan for season 2021. He was invited to find another club. For that reason no fee, I would assume.

He still had a contract, was just wondering thats all.

You do seem to have this odd notion that contracts are worth the paper they are written on. In the same way, you'll get no cash for Battye, you won't pay for Navarette either. In Batteye's case, he'll almost certainly envoke a get-out clause to go to SL, if that's what he wants, or London may take a swap deal but cash, not likely. Wigan will just be glad to get Navarette of their books. Incredibly rare these days for a transfer to be paid, the player has to be incredibly hot. ie a young Burgess.

As it happens I rate Navarette, still SL standard IMO and should rip it up in the Championship. Good signing for you.

As shown to you earlier in the thread (but not responded to by you) We paid a fee for Jordan Abdul as we wanted him more than Hull FC wanted to let him go, hence the fee. That's how it works, if the club is willing to keep hold of an unsettled player they state pay the fee or there's no release.

If you read the statements re Wigan they had asked Romain to find another club so very unlikely they would demand a fee, given it suited them and that's the difference between the two.

In respect of any release of Eddie the question is one of are Broncos willing to hold on to a player who wants away?

Not saying they will or they won't get a fee or even if Eddie wants away but unless I've missed something from the club telling Eddie to look elsewhere they are very different situations.
