Here is a question, that i honestly dont know the answer too.
When did we last pay a transfer fee for any player? Or are we saying that all the players we have aquired have always been out of contract when they signed for us

Well if the club were a little more open, we might know the answer to that. But, as you constantly prattle on about, that's none of our business.

I could be wrong but Dave Bullough may have been last player to be signed with funds raised by the fans back in the day. Think he got himself sent off in his 1st game after signing permanently but the mind plays tricks as you get older.

I actually went to school with Dom Peters - starting a fight and then running away is exactly the kind of thing he'd have done.

As I remember it, he ran from the far side of the pitch. Gave someone a thump and went back from whence he came.
And got a red card for his troubles.

So what is effectively being said is contracts are pointless. Sums up RL for me. How will this help smaller clubs?? Develop a player then a bigger club just comes and swipes him off them. But that is ok cause the smaller club can get a cast off from one of the bigger clubs to replace them (must be fair as that player was under contract also). If this is the case why bother contracting players at all?? Why bother with academies, anyone decent will go. Surely they are just a pointless cost??

OK I'll play along - give us a list of players we've signed who were still under contract at their previous club? And how much, if anything, we paid for them? Because that's what was being discussed - whether or not Eddie Battye, under contract, is worth a transfer fee or not - before you started banging on about us signing players.

With Fozzard signed according to the club website thats 19 players. How many do we need?

I'd say we need probably another 6 or 7 quality players to push 4 super league
