I'd imagine that the contractual obligations are in discussion, which is why it's not been announced on the Broncos website.
I was quite impressed with Richie, he certainly seemed to want to do a job, and I'd like to have seen him playing and more importantly leading.
Welfare could be seen as what the players get up too away from the club, not sure how the RFL would view that in being involved in the game.
I would hope that he could not start in his role until his ban was served.
