Hello again Hudd.fans .We played a lot better against Castleford that the score suggests. As usual the club never says what is going on and there has been no explanation of why Mcilorum and Jullien ,key players for us and in the 19 ,did not play .Broughton is still not fit so Mead has to play right wing and Langi in the centre . I would prefer Tomkins in the centre ,Langi at half back and Gigot full back .If we get Mcilorum and Jullien back I think we should win,otherwise all bets are off

How the lads react this week will I think speak volumes. If woolford gets a reaction from then and we see more energy and effort then we will be ok going forward. If it’s more of the same as Friday it’s going to be a long season. I do not expect a win, but if they are competitive I’ll be happy.

Well it was a better, more energised effort. It fell apart when the team had to be switched around. Difficult to pick a stand out player. Again our star players didn’t shine. Probably Murphy before he got switched Outside, or Darnell -if nothing else for that brilliant chase down tackle to save the try.

Would like to see Roberts, Walne, Grix and Farrell dropped for the wire game and go:

Ollie Roberts a shadow of the player he was 2 seasons ago.

Not sure young wardle will play but I agree with the above squad, and the comment about Roberts. Long contract syndrome appears to have set in there.
Faz doesn’t deserve to be dropped for me he’s offered more than frawley - but looks like he sustained an injury so won’t play anyway.
Walne hasn’t been terrible but you’d have taai in over him if available.

Impressively physical by you lot, I thought. Not too many sides go over there and better them at the rough stuff. I'd be encouraged at any rate, given the number of absentees.

Im led to believe he would have started the season in the centres and kicking if it wasnt for the niggle. Hes back fit for the Warrington game so id throw him in. Get Joe wardle in the 2nd row and drop Ollie Roberts who has been dire for too long now.

Good news if wardle is fit- I thought it was a longer term issue so be great to get him in alongside his brother.

Jools surely doesn't like Frawley. He's not the distributor we need, but he's the only one who has broken the line in the two games we have played. Hes a line running HB and a pretty good one from what i've seen so far.

Problem is we have no ball handlers in the team. Can't really blame Woolford as losing Brough was 100% the right move as is being proved with his 2 sin binnings in 2 for Wakefield, and he tried for Hastings and others but couldn't get them. Good teams have 4 or 5 who can distribute and make a missout pass etc. We have .. none. Sicknote gaskell isn't the answer, we badly need a half to partner Frawley who can pass and create chances.

We don't have distributors in any of the other key positions, Full back, i like Macintosh a lot but hes a long way from chiming into the line and passing. Lawrence at loose is another mistake, he can't pass to save his life, and O'Brien is more of a running hooker than a distributor.

No I don’t like frawley, his long range kicking game isn’t good enough, he’s passive and quiet and you don’t Notice he’s there at all. He doesn’t control the game or the team-and that’s what your Half is supposed to do- and as someone from Aus came on here and warned us he’s not seeming the right man for the job. If he proves me wrong later then great but he’s not impressed so far.
