| Firstly, i'm not a Town fan, they are an on field rival of my team so i won't be congratulating them on their achievement, even more so as my team we're beaten by them but i have friends who are and have been Town fans all their lives and don't have a 'premiership' team to fall back on when Town aren't doing so well as a majority do, for them i'm delighted and hope they had a great day and enjoy next season!!
They reckon Town will pocket around £200million just for being in the Premiership, sponsorship, media attention, hospitality, merchandise etc will all, i imagine witness a huge rise.
Of course there will also be the issues of matches having to be moved, playing second fiddle to the PL, potentially losing more fans, definitely losing the potential floating sports fan in the town, local businesses preferring to be associated with a Premiership team etc.
I've seen stuff saying it will be a huge boost to the town to have a Premier league team so will Town being in the greedy league be a good or a bad thing for the Giants?

| I think it's a tough question to answer... There were the rumours that Dean Hoyle would build Giants a new stadium if promoted (no idea if true or not). If it did happen then surely that has to be a positive for the giants.... The current stadium is clearly too big....
I can't think of any other obvious positives at this stage....

| cant see it being a good thing for the giants at all, already bad enough for us with town and football.... crept it even more this season with fixture changes and can see it only getting worse not to mention more drivel from football fans about the rugby ruining the pitch
the benefit is for the town itself, morale and economy... they need to stay up to continue the economy part.
we may get an extra lick of paint at the stadium and facilities too

Ken Davy gets little credit from many Town fans.
Town in the PL is bound to be a good thing for Huddersfield i would have thought, Won't be a blind bit of good for the Giants at all, but they are not going to be the slightest bit worried about that, If it were the boot on the other foot , how many Giants fans would have given Diddley about Town.
As regards playing second fiddle to Town, we already do, so that is only going to get worse, and that's not just because it's Huddersfield, Even the Mighty Wigan ( league club run as well as any there is) plays second fiddle to soccer.
I have a friend who lives and breathes Town, He tells me the 200million is only if they get relegated straight back down, if they survive it is much much more , He didn't elaborate but Hey ho, they made it, so good luck to them, they have come a long way under D Hoyle.
Must admit i liked the sound of a new smaller stadium ( mentioned by someone ), How about a 15.000 seater up around the Denby dale area, we could merge with Wakey ( soon to have no ground ) and call ourselves the Dearne valley dingo's or something. Don't all swear at me at once ( when you've calmed down that is).
Second thoughts it wouldn't work, you wouldn't get two people who could agree on what colour the shirts should be .

| The effect that Towns success will have on the Giants is irrelevant. It is good for Huddersfield and I am pleased about that.
The success of the Giants is more to do with its future management resources and coaching. All of which have nothing to do with how well Town do or don't do.
Stop worrying about Town and think about pressurising those who are failing at the Giants to do things better ( even different might be a good start)

| If anyone at the Giants had a clue they would see Towns success as an opportunity maybe learn something i.e. Share information , build goodwill share the clubs heritage far and wide sadly with the shambles in charge I doubt anything will change the old goal of parity is no longer an option

Shouldn't that read "managed" as neither are in the Premier League now.
Sadly RL will always play second fiddle to the PL but at least your facilities will be upgraded. Bet the stadium move to Blue and White seating to reflect the Town's club colours. Will the Giant's home kit change to reflect the home environment?

Hope not. Town should change to Claret & Gold, as no PL has our colours.

Seats are already blue. And to your final question no- that will never happen.

| Think there's going to be a new gantry made at the back of the Kilner stand and a number of new positions created for camera's. Anyone who sits right at the back of the Kilner might have to move for the construction.

| As a Wigan fan, I think it will benefit Huddersfield Giants. Firstly the pitch will have to be up to a certain standard and the football club will pay for it.
There will be less games played, nineteen as opposed to twenty three, plus later entry into the cup competitions and no playoffs.
The football fixtures will have been sorted in July so with a bit of planning there should be few, if any fixture clashes.
Who owns the stadium?
The only downside is that you may lose a few fans, or conversely some of the more sensible football fans may decide that the exorbitant Premiership prices are not good value and may decide to spend their money on the Giants.

They've already sold 15,000 season tickets for next year at a cheap price. The st will be £199 next season - and for loyal fans whove been holders for a while just £100

| The thing is though, Whatever your thoughts about Town are ( I don't have any either way except I'm glad they got where they want to be ) Nobody can really dispute they have done well as a club and now they should reap the benefit, I should think the stadium will be full every home game.

Totally agree I think it's fantastic to have a Super League and Premier League team in Huddersfield. Town have sold 17.5K season tickets and sales were suspended in April so I guess it will be full every game.

Cannot see this happening. I am a Giants Sponsor and have no intention of moving my sponsorship money to Town and I'm pretty sure others will be the same because if you're a Giant you're a Giant. But I went to Wembley and have been buzzing all week about Town being in the Premier League because I'm a Huddersfield sports fan.
