Our annual fans forum takes place on the 17th January in the Fantastic Media suite at the John Smith's Stadium.

This is always a hugely popular event and this year promises to be no different.
This year's panel will include Giants head coach Rick Stone, Managing Director Richard Thewlis, Examiner reporter Pete Barrow as well as one or two of the 1st team squad (to be announced soon).
Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30 start.

Admission is free for HGSA members and Giants season ticket holders(please bring your booklets as proof) and £2 for everyone else (our yearly membership is still only £5 which includes entry to all our monthly meetings and will be available to purchase on the night as an alternative to the admission fee).

We look forward to welcoming you all.

Who is going ?. Now is the chance for everybody to have their say to the people that matter, as a HGSA member l wish l could make this one. l wonder, if Thewlis and the others will come under the cosh, or maybe not

I expect the room to be packed as most people on here will be going to ask questions or tell him and Rick where they are going wrong, after all it seems they have all the answers - or maybe they are just 'internet mouthy'

Doubt they will Daz, after all the HGSA is only for "the selected few" and i doubt many on here will want to help the club out by offering advice, what would they find to complain about if the club was ran as well as they could run it or became successful?

Selected few? anyone can join, it just costs you a fiver, yes a whole fiver, for a whole year, no selection process at all.

In my book if you don't join and get involved you can't really complain about what they do / don't do.

Late changes to the line up? Surely our chief exec will not miss the event yet again

Some comments that are made we are asked to not repeat - whether people not at the meetings like that or not!

ALL our meetings are open to EVERYONE. They are free to HGSA members and visitors are asked to pay £1.

thanks to everyone who came and bought raffle tickets/membership/Heritage stuff etc, thought it was an excellent evening with some great guests and great questions, which were all answered very honestly!!

First one I've been to. Thought it was excellent.

Rick has a real clear direction and talked sense - think he will be great for us.

Pleased to see so many there and very impressed with Rick. He seems very level headed, clear on what he wants from the squad, and aware of the constraints of finance that he needs to work with. Very respectful of previous regime when it would have been very easy for him to criticise our poor season gone. Seems he is prepared to see how it goes first couple of games and happy enough with the squad and cover in most positions. Most happy to hear him give positive raps to the younger guys in the squad and those just joined and hoping that he will give those deserving a shot. These friendlies are the chance for the young guys to stake a claim.

Been to lots of these forums before but this one was much better than most thanks to the honesty, humility and common sense responses to questions. Good questions asked too ' not too negative either that would have been an easy trap to fall into.

Thing is with these events - and indeed the monthly meetings, people come away having heard stuff a lot more positive and are often quite surprised how down to earth and honest the people within the club are....it's easy to sit behind a computer and complain/whine/criticise etc but when you here these people speak it does make you think that maybe things aren't that bad.

Must also say a positive word about Richard Thewlis, he gets some stick at times, some maybe justified, some not but i thought he was very open and honest and didn't try and deflect or get out of answering questions, like he said it's easier to tell the truth than to lie and i think he needs praising for the way he answered them....as all the guests did !!

1500 season tickets gone to new fans , thats positive, hope we can keep them now!

switch to friday night explained abit more, sticking to sundays was not going anywhere for attendances. we had the best home record for 3 season prior to last year, hope we build that fortress again now, really disappointing to get turned over at home last year.

not many pay on the day according to thewlis so no point lowering the price for that

Pay on the day will only increase if we are having a successful season but then as they package matches together now most floating supporters will take up on them.

The away support has dropped off in recent seasons albeit when ours has marginally increased and definitely got louder.

1500 to new holders is great stuff imo

All very positive so far. I'd also say the clubs use of social media has improved tenfold in the off season
